An Act Amending Certain Provisions Of Presidential Decree No. 856, Otherwise
Known As The “Code On Sanitation Of The Philippines”

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines


in Congress assembled:

Section 81. Establishment of Public Toilet. In areas where the number of


toilets is inadequate for the population, public toilets shall be constructed by
the local government through the processes provided by law and which will
also serve as a livelihood opportunity. Provided, that the latter will be given to
the unemployed residents of the locality.

Section 82. Structural Requirements. Such toilets shall be in lieu of the


standards provided in Section 21 of P.D. No. 856.

This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least two

Newspapers of general circulation.
