Magical Candy 1.

FADE IN:

1 INT. ARIA’S HOUSE - NOON 1

ESTABLISHING SHOT
A small house with red roof and a rose garden in front of the
house.
After having lunch, Aria lies on a Sofa, reads comic book.
Her mom is in the kitchen, washes dishes.
MOM
Aria, can you help me with this? Can
you go in my bedroom for a while? I
have something to give you.
ARIA
OK!
Aria goes to her mom's bedroom and wait. In the kitchen,
after washing the last dish, mom dries her hands on a towel
and quickly goes to the bedroom with Aria.
BEDROOM
ARIA
What do you want to show me?
Mom opens the drawer, carefully takes out an envolope and
gives it to Aria.

MOM
Can you bring it to Aunt Jane now?
This is her letter.
ARIA
Right now?
MOM
Yes, and make sure you go straight
to her house and give her the
envelope.
Aria takes the envelope and puts it in her jacket's pocket.
She puts one her shoes and quickly leaves the house.

2 EXT. ON THE STREET - NOON 2

 Magical Candy 2.

Instead of following what her mom told, Aria goes hang out
with her friends. They meets in front of a convenience store.
There are 4 of them, including Aria.
HAN
(waving at Aria)
Hey Aria, we are here!
ARIA
Hi!
MAY
How can you go out at this time? I
thought you need to help your mom
with dishes and laundry.
ARIA
Oh, because she asked me to bring
this letter to my aunt. But it can
be done later. Anyway, what do we do
now?
ANNE
As you are here,how about we all
come to my house? My mom just baked
a chocolate gateau. We can play
video game while eating cake.
ARIA
That sounds great!

3 INT. ANNE’S HOUSE - AFTERNOON 3

Anne opens the doors and tells the girls to take off their
shoes and put them on the doorstep.

DOORWAY
ARIA
It's late now. I think I need to go
home or my mom will worry.See you
guys tommorow. Goodbye Ms Rosy! Your
cake is so good!

Aria puts on her shoes and says goodbye to her friend. On the
way home, she sees a small, eccentric candy shop on the
corner of the street which she has never visited before.

4 INT. CANDY SHOP - AFTERNOON 4

She hesistantly pushes the door and gets in. The bell on the
door rings. A good looking middle-aged man, wearing glasses
 Magical Candy 3.

and black waistcoat, stands behind the counter. He smiles and

waves at Aria.

SALESMAN
Good afternoon young lady, do you
need any help?

ARIA
No, thanks. I just want to see what
your store has.

SALESMAN
Feel free to go around. We have lots
of delicious sweets and some of them
are rare. You cannot find them
elsewhere.
Aria goes around the shop. She can find some common candies
which are sold in the supermarket, but also candies that she
has never seen before. Many packagings have foreign
languages. One particular type of candies catches her eyes.
They looks like rock crystals. Aria touches her pocket and
realizes she forgot to bring money.

Aria stands there for a while thinking. She looks around to

make sure there is noone. She swiftly puts the candy jar into
her pocket and sneaks out of the store.

CUT TO:

5 EXT. ON THE STREET - MOMENTS LATER 5

Aria walks on the street. She pulls the candy jar out of her
poket and watches it closely. The candies sparkled in the
sunlight. She opens the jar and eat the first candy. Its
taste is nothing special, just sweet like normal candy.
LATER

After a while, she feels her throat is burning. Her chest and
stomach hurts. Her eyes become blurry. She starts loosing
sensation in the fingertips and toes. Aria quickly runs into
near alley and falls down on the street. She groans in agony
and blacks out.
FADE OUT.

Aria quickly wakes up. The pain has gone. However, everything
seems bigger and taller. She looks down and sees her legs
covered in brown fur and she walks on 4 legs. Aria panics.
 Magical Candy 4.

She runs to the street and sees herself through a glass of

clothes shop. She turns into a puppy.

Too scared, she hides under a car. She begins to trace back
what have happened. There's something wrong with the candy.
Aria decide to go back the candy shop.

6 INT. CANDY SHOP - SAME AFTERNOON 6

She struggles to get in, then a woman comes out of the shop
and opens the door for her. Aria quickly goes in.

She barks loudly when she sees the salesman.

SALESMAN
(hospitable)
Oh, good afternoon young lady again!
What happened? Why do you become a
dog?

Aria barks again.

SALESMAN
(laugh)
You don't like it? I thought
everyong love a cute little puppy
like you. Hmm..

This time, Aria barks with anger. The Salesman stops joking
and becomes serious.

SALESMAN
Ok, ok, calm down my young lady. You
turn into this because you are a
naughty girl. You, little thief! And
the only way to break the spell is
to go out there and do good things.
The candy will transform you into 3
different animals. Your job is to do
one good thing before the candy will
let you turn into another animal.
After being 3 times, you will become
human again.

The salesman leaves the counter and opens the door for Aria.
SALESMAN
Now, go! And good luck Ms Puppy!

7 EXT. ON THE STREET - SAME AFTERNOON 7

 Magical Candy 5.

Aria doesn't know where to go so she can help people. At

first, she just goes around near the candy shop. However,
noone seems to need help. She decides to go further. While
wandering around the town, she sees an old man who carries a
big shopping bag and struggles to cross the road.
Aria runs to the old man, rubs her body against his leg and
barks indicating him follows her. She and the old man wait
for the green light and cross the road.

OLD MAN
Thank you! You're such a good dog!

After helping the old man, Aria goes to an empty, private

place behind a restaurant to wait for the transformation. Her
body experiences the same painful process.

JUMP CUT TO:

8 EXT. ON THE STREET - CONTINUOUS 8

This time, she becomes a cat. Aria doesn't feel shocked like
last time. She wanders around the town again. Whenever she
sees a dog, she hastily runs and hides under the car or jumps
on to higher place.
CUT TO:

9 EXT. THE PARK - SAME AFTERNOON 9

When passing the park, Aria hears someone crying. She finds a
little girl sitting on the bench, crying. Looking up, Aria
sees a blue ball is stuck on a tree. Aria meows

THE LITTLE GIRL

(to the cat)
Hi cat.. I accidentally kicked the
ball too strong and now it stucked
on the tree. I don't know what to do
now. My mom just bought the ball for
me yesterday. If I lose it, she will
yell at me.

Aria climbs up the tree. She carefully uses her leg to push
the ball until it drops. The ball falls down. Aria climbs
down from a tree. The girl happily picks up the ball and rubs
Aria's head.

THE LITTLE GIRL

Thank you cat! Oh, wait... I have
something for you.
 Magical Candy 6.

The girl pulls out of her pocket a candy and gives it to

Aria. Arias doesn't recive the candy, but she just meow as a
goodbye.

CUT TO:

10 EXT. ON THE STREET - SAME AFTERNOON 10

After helping the girl, Aria turns into a chicken. She walks
on the street, then stops at the bus stop. The bus stop is
very crowded. People talks loudly, stands next to each other.
Aria sees a man trying to pickpoket a woman infront of him.
He is reaching into her hand bag. Aria crows loudly. The
woman is startled by the sound. She turns around and catches
the robber.

Aria waits there until the robber is taken to the police

station. She goes to an empty alley nearby and wait for the
spell to break.

FADE TO:

11 EXT. ON THE STREET - CONTINUOUS 11

Aria opens her eyes. She looks down to her arms and legs,
touches on her face to realize she has turned back into
human. Aria is overjoyed. She quickly runs back to her home
