GANG OF NOTORIOUS BURGLARS INSPIRED BY VERY

FAMOUS HOLYWOOD MOVIE BUSTED
Special Staff of West District has busted a gang of notorious burglars. Two
gang members were arrested. The gang was headed by one Dharmender Kumar
who is a self styled security guard previously involved in similar nature of crime.
Sensational night burglary worth Rs. 2.5 Crores worked out. Cash Rs. 29.40 lakhs,
Jewellery and other valuable documents recovered.

Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, Age- 19 yrs.

INFORMATION/OPERATION :

A sensational burglary of worth Rs. 2.5 Crores has taken place in the
intervening night of 16/17-11-2009 in the area of PS Saket, South District. Looking
into the gravity of the crime, various teams of Southern Range, Delhi were tasked to
crack the case. Team of Special Staff, West District was also looking into the matter.
The scene of crime was visited and secret sources were deployed. The hard efforts
of the team led to an information about a gang of notorious burglars who work as
security guards and latter commit burglaries. The gang is headed by one
Dharmender Kumar. The information was further developed and all probable
hideouts of the gang were searched. On 02.01.2010, specific information was
received by Insp. Rajkumar that members of this gang will be coming near Khatu
Shyam Stadium, Ghantaghar, Hari Nagar, Delhi at about 08.00pm to meet other
gang members. On this information, a raiding party under the supervision of Insp.
Rajkumar, consisting of SI Charan Singh, SI Manoj Kumar, ASI Nirakar, ASI Birpal, ASI
Balvinder, HC Ved Parkash, HC Jaibhagwan, HC Sanjay Bhati, Ct. Suresh, Ct
Amarjeet, Ct. Narender and Ct. Sudama was constituted and deployed near Khatu
Shyam Stadium, Taxi stand, Hari Nagar, Delhi. At about 8.00pm, two persons came
near Taxi Stand, Hari Nagar who were identified to be members of the gang and
were apprehended on the instance of informer. They disclosed their names as (1)
Dharmender Kumar S/o Late Shri Anat Ram and (2) Mohd. Karim @ Babloo
S/o Shri Naim Khan. On sustained interrogation, Dharmender Kumar and Mohd.
Karim disclosed that they along with their accomplice Mithlesh and Sushil have
committed burglary of Rs. 2.5 Crores from M-1, Saket, Delhi registered vide FIR No.
390/09 u/s 457/380 IPC at PS Saket, South District. Both the accused persons were
arrested and on their instance Cash Rs. 29.40 lakhs, gold jewellery and papers of
property worth Rs. 13 lakhs purchased out of this money were recovered.

INTERROGATION/MODOUS OPERANDAI:
 During interrogation, accused Dharmender Kumar disclosed that he hails
from District Agra, UP and belongs to a very weak economical back ground. He
studied up to 7th standard. During childhood his father expired due to illness and
mother eloped with a man. After this, he became dependent on his uncle who was
very rude to him. He came in contact with a girl living in his neighbourhood and
later married to her. He alongwith his wife came to Delhi in 2005 to change his
destiny. He was very ambitious and wants to give everything to his wife and to
become a rich person. He started his carrier as a private security guard. He was not
satisfied with his earnings as he has to work hard for long hours to earn merely Rs.
2800/- per month. His earnings could not bear his basic needs of his life. He was
frustrated as he could not cope up with the speedy life style of Delhi. He committed
his first crime in the year 2007, wherein he has stolen brass items from the factory
in which he was attached as security guard. In this attempt, he was apprehended
and was arrested. After coming out from jail, he took a job as private security job
with Scanner Private Security Agency and was deployed at M-1, Saket,Delhi. During
his tenure in this office, he came to know that heavy cash transaction took place in
this office and large amount of cash is also been stored there. This information
about hefty cash inspired him that this is the place from where his life can take a
turn. His misdeeds were aggravated when he watched the famous movie “Slumdog
Millionaire” in which a youngster from slums similar to his back ground won millions
of rupees. His mind struck to the fact that it is god who had given him a chance to
fulfill all his dreams. He started planning as to how to get this cash from the office.
He hatched a plan with his friends Mithlesh who works as a plumber in Saket area
and Sushil who work as a driver. They all conspired to commit the offence in their
common sitting place in a cycle repairing shop run by Karim Khan @ Babu. They
also offered some amount to Karim Khan in lieu to not to disclose any thing. In the
fateful night of 16/17-11-2009, Dharmender alongwith his associates Mithlesh and
Sushil entered into the office-M1, Saket by taking advantage of the wee hours of
night when the guard deployed there were sleeping. Mithlesh being a plumber could
easily open the doors and almirah. Dharmender knew that there are CCTV cameras
in the office which can capture their pictures. So he and Sushil damaged the CCTV
Cameras. They took cash about 2.5 Crores. As per the disclosure, Dharmender gave
Rs. 34000/- to cycle mechanic as his share to keep quiet. Accused persons
distributed the remaining amount in equal ratio among themselves. Efforts are
being done to arrest co-accused persons and recover remaining booty.

Further investigation is in progress. Staff involved in good work is being

suitably rewarded.

GANG OF BURGLARS BUSTED

With the arrest of Deepak @ Bhondu and Ravi @

Gattu, South-West District police has worked out a case of
burglary committed in the area of Police Station Dhaula Kuan has
been worked out within a very short span of time. This was well
appreciated by all as the burglary has been committed in the
residences of a bureaucrat, a serving Army officer and an ex-
senior judiciary person.

INCIDENT:

On the night intervening 20/21.11.09 a PCR call was

received about theft committed in, Moti Bagh-I. The occupant is
an ex-judiciary person. He noticed that four persons running out
of his house, when he woke up and his driver raised alarm.
Immediately SHO/Dhaula Kuan visited the spot and found that the
household articles were ransacked and the thieves had gain entry
into the house from the back side of the house.
 Two other incidents of burglary was reported committed
in the house of one Colonel at Dhaula Kuan Enclave Part-II and
Moti Bagh-I New Delhi, a bureaucrat’s house. Two cases have
been registered at Police Station Dhaula Kuan.

INVESTIGATION:

The incident was sensitive in nature; hence the

investigation of the case was taken up by Inspector Neeraj
Kumar, SHO Dhaula Kuan himself. It was learnt that the modus
operandi of the criminal remains the same in all the three cases
that they use to lock the door while committing the crime hence it
was established that all the three crimes have been committed by
one active group of burglars. It was also that one mobile phone
has been burgled which was put under surveillance. The
criminals have made only one phone call from that mobile which
lead to crack the gang of burglars. This call was developed which
leads the arrest of the b burglars.

Acting on a secret tip off, the police party consisting of SI

Praveen Kumar and other staff under the supervision of Inspr.
Neeraj Kumar, SHO Dhaula Kuan laid a trap near Dhaula Kuna
Bus stand and apprehended two of the burglars namely Deepak
@ Bhondu & Ravi @ Gattu while they were disposing off the
stolen property. The burglars were interrogated at length which
revealed that one person namely Sanjay s/o Dal Chand r/o
servant quarters, Moti Bagh-I and his son Monu used to recky the
area and in turn inform the group of burglars to commit the crime.
Sanjay has also been arrested by the police. Further Shambhu
s/o Katiroy r/o Trilok Puri, who was receiver of the stolen property
was also arrested. The other associates are absconding and the
efforts are on foot to arrest them. The arrested persons have
taken to police custody remand and the burgled articles viz. Sony
Bravia LCD TV, Sony digital camera, gents suits, expensive
watches and silver coins, jewellery including silver utensils, bags,
mobile phone, precious items including silver idols of Hindu God
and Goddesses have been recovered. The criminals used to gain
entry after breaking the lock or bolt and their associates used to
lock the doors of the neighbours so that they may not be
disturbed while committed the crime. They also break the lock of
the terrace gate so that they may get a clear passage in case of
any hurdle.

The police party is being rewarded for their good and hard
work for their future encouragement.

Auto Theft Squad of East District has busted a Gambling /Satta Racket running in the H. No.
32/97 Trilok Puri, Delhi, in the area of Police Station Mayur Vihar.

INCIDENT
On 02.01.2010 secret information was received in the office of AATS/E that one
Gambling /Satta is being run since last 2 months in H. No. 32/97 Trilok Puri, Delhi, in the area
of Police Station Mayur Vihar. On receipt of this information, informer were activated. After
proper verification a raid was conducted in the evening on the said premises and Zabaar and Ravi
@ Vickey, kingpin of racket, and 17 other persons who were found playing Satta were arrested
