PUERTO PRINSESA CITY HALL

It is called “GREEN CITY HALL” because of its sustainable and environmentally-friendly design.
The entire complex has a 3,000-capacity convention center and a four-storey City Hall w/ its
own waste water treatment facility, solar panels, roof garden, generator, and power supplies
accessories. The design allows for the use of natural light and ventilation which makes it more
energy efficient. The design also follows the natural topography and contour of the hill,
reducing the negative impact on the environment. The complex was designed by Jose Danilo
Silvestre, the Dean of UP Diliman's College of Architecture.

The existing city hall which is also on a hill overlooking Puerto Princesa Bay was constructed in
the late 80s under the leadership of then City Mayor Feliberto Oliveros.
