The best Poet, the Most Honourable,
The Greatest Ruler and the treasure of all knowledge
O Ganapati, please listen to us and take your seat in our heart.
May we worship Goddess of all learning and
bestower of all knowledge to Her we prostrate.
We bow to lord Ganesha, Devi Sarasvati and
our divine Guru who removes darkness and ignorance.

Twameva mata cha pita twameva


Twameva bandhushcha sakha twameva
Twameva vidya dravinam twameva
Twameva sarvam mama deva deva

You are my mother and my father


You are my relative and friend
You are my knowledge and my wealth
You are my all O Lord of Lords.

Mukam karooti vachalam


Pangum langhayate girim
Yat krupa tamaham vande
Paramanandam Madhavam

You make a dumb person a talkative person


You can make a lame person jump over a mountain
I salute to You and seek that mercy of Yours O Madhava.

Vasudeva sutam Devam


Kamsa Chanoora mardhanam
Devaki paramanandam
Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum

I solute to the God Krishna who is the Son of Vasudeva,


Who killed Kamsa and Chanoora,
Who is the source of Bliss to His mother Devaki
And who is the Teacher of the Universe.

Aum, may Mitra be propitious to us. May Varuna bless us. May the blessings of Aryama be
with us. May the Grace of Indra and Brihaspati be upon us. May Vishnu, the All-pervading
(“wide-striding”) be propitious to us. Salutations to Brahman. Salutations to Thee, O
Vayu! Thou art the visible Brahman. Thee alone shall I consider as the visible Brahman.
I shall declare:- Thou art the “right.” Thou art the “Good.” May That protect me; May
That protect the speaker. Please protect me. Please protect the speaker. Aum Peace Peace
