B.A.

Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies

I was honored to be accepted to the University of California San Diego. One thing that

brought me to UCSD was my brother, who graduated a year before I was accepted. I was on

campus often when he was a student, and I fall in love with a friendly environment and kindly

people. Though my undergraduate degree is not English but Russian, I believe it prepared me to

do the next step toward a teaching career. UCSD gave me a lot to build up a scientific and

creative mind. After graduation, I started teaching Russian to students privately. When I

experienced teaching beginners and advanced Russian learners, I decided that I have enough

confidence to teach English. However, I realized that I would like to teach ESL.
