Guillermo Masangkay’s

They have different dates because that time the uses of calendar are low and it is not widely.
SUMMARY
-The official date and place of the first cry were largely based on the account of Dr. Pio Valenzuela. It
also said the Valenzuela is the one who encouraged Dr. Jose Rizal in Dapitan to join the Katipunan.
-Dr. Pio Valenzuela account was published as Memoirs of the K.K.K and the Philippine Revolution.
-in 1963 the National Historical Commision (National Historical Commision of the Philippines.) decided
that, following extensive research of primary sources, the First Cry of the Philippine Revolution
happened on August 23, 1986. Which is the account of Pio Valenzuela being the most credible.
