1. Miss Forbes. The total amount payable on her bill is 6480 pesos, but the hotel has billed her
wrongly for a meal costing 810 pesos. Deduct this. She pays with three £50 traveler’s cheques.
£50 = 2650 x 3 = 7950 pesos
Total charge : 6480 pesos - 810 pesos = 5670 pesos
7950 - 5670 pesos = 2280
They have total bill 5670 pesos , then they paid 7950 pesos so they still have change 2280 pesos
2. Ms. Lamondou. Her bill total 3900 pesos and she wishes to pay it with a 1000franc note.
1000 franc x 4.5

= 600 pesos
They have total bill 3900 pesos, then they paid 4500 pesos so they still have change 600 pesos

3. Mr. Duensing. His bill comes to 12,960 pesos. He is given a 10% discount on this. He pays
with eleven 100 DM traveler cheques.

12,960 pesos - 10% = 11664
12,100 pesos -11,664 pesos = 436 pesos
They have total bill 11,664 pesos, then they paid 12,100 so they still have change 436 pesos

= 20.790 pesos - ( 20,140 - 670 )
= 1.320 pesos
They have total bill 19,470 pesos , then they paid 20.790 pesos so they still have change 1.320
