Mock Interview Reflection

1. What steps did you take to prepare for the mock interview?
The steps I took to prepare for this interview were researching company information prior
to the interview, reviewing questions that may be asked of me, and looking over the job
history of the company and work role.

2. How did you feel while you were being interviewed?

I felt nervous, but due to my prior experience of interviewing for a job, I felt more prepared.
It was reassuring to have some experience.

3. Reflect on your actual responses. Did you feel your responses were adequate
or could you have done better? Explain.
I felt I gave more sufficient responses to the interviewer and had a plentiful amount of
information to support my responses. By being prepared, I had immediate responses and
examples from past experience.

4. What questions do you feel you answered well? Explain.

The questions I feel I answered well are:
● Can you tell me about a time where you encountered a business challenge?
● Why should we choose you for this job?
● What are your main strengths?
I feel I answered these questions well and with more than enough detail.

5. What questions do you feel you could have answered better? How would you
have answered them differently?
Some questions I could have answered with better responses. Some questions that needed
examples, which made me think back to prior experience were difficult for me to think of
one on the spot.

6. What areas did your teacher mark as strengths?

The areas my teacher marked as strengths were my ability to communicate in detail and
give specific examples to questions. Also pay attention to the specifics of the tasks that are
involved.
7. What areas did your teacher mark as needing improvement? In what ways do
you plan to improve your performance in these areas?
The area my teacher marked as needing improvement is identifying the importance of job
tasks. Another area that was marked as needing improvement is learning from my
mistakes. I plan to improve my performance by taking this feedback and use constructive
ways to improve my behavior.
