To Whom It May Concern:

It is with much honor and pride that I write this letter of recommendation for Perla
Dominguez whom I have known for three years in the capacity as a student in the
Environmental Science, Engineering, and Technology (ESET) Academy at Carson
High School.

As a 10th grader in my biology class, Perla worked hard and quickly became a
standout. Her work was impeccable, her questioning showed deep understanding,
and she displayed a true passion for science. She was top of the class grade wise
and helped her classmates by being a role model and pushing them to be better
students.

Because of Perla’s classroom prowess, she earned a fellowship to the Teton Science
School in the Grand Teton National Park for a weeklong program focused on
ecology, environmental stewardship, and leadership skill building. Again, Perla did
not disappoint and was a star, taking her new knowledge and skills to create,
implement, and present an original research project with a team of her peers.

Perla has since become a member of the schools robotics team where she
specializes in data collection. Her role is integral in helping the team create a more
efficient use of hydrogen fuel with their remote car for their races around Southern
California. This year, Perla and the team are on pace to earn a berth in the State and
international finals.

As a person, Perla is a sweet young lady who treasures family. Most weekends,
Perla spends quality time with her dad, mom, and two younger sisters. On campus,
Perla is well liked by her peers and well respected by my colleagues.

Perla Dominguez is an outstanding young lady whom I recommend without

reservation and enthusiastically.

Sincerely,

Tammy Bird
