The word “ WORK”

a. Work is an uncountable noun when it means something we do that takes an


effort, often as part of a job or for study.

Example: If you work hard, the company will give you a promotion to a
more responsible position.

b. Work as a countable noun means something created, especially a book or


painting or piece of music or sculpture.

Example: The thieves have stolen the most valuable work of Picasso in the
national museum.

2. The word “ ROOM”

a. Room is an uncountable noun when it means the amount of space that someone


or something needs:

Example:Is there enough room in the yard for a swimming pool?

b. Room as a countable noun means a part of the inside of a building that


is separated from other parts by walls, floor, and ceiling

Example: She opened the door and entered a room full of beautiful old
furniture.
