Reflection on Recorded Teaching Video at AIMS
1. Did you actually cover and achieve your objective?
Yes, but I didn’t cover my overall lesson and objective, because I didn’t have enough
time to cover everything and go through regarding to the lesson plan. The reason why I
didn’t cover and achieve my objectives because I didn’t review and conclude the lesson
at the end of the class.
2. Did the students respond positively / did you build a report the students?
Yes, I assumed that student responded positively and correctly when I asked them to
answer the question. Especially, based on student response, I noticed that the interaction
between students and me was good. Also, I provided positive feedback when answered
the question correctly or not.
4. What do you believe were the strong and weak points in your lesson and how could
you make strong points even better and improve the weak points?
From the strong points in my lesson, I assumed that I had a good relationship with my
student, made the lesson engaging, and enthusiasm for teaching such as asking them to
give the example of the sentence. Also, I kept myself available to help them during they
are doing the class activity. From the weak points, I would mention that classroom
management, speech and lack of confident to teach students, because it was my first
experience to teach them. Also, it was difficult to speak English perfectly because I was
often making mistake again and again. such as grammar, pronunciation and etc.
5. Was your methodology appropriate for the lesson content and the dynamics of the
class?
As a Grade 3 students, I believed that my methodology was appropriate for the lesson
content, because teacher have to explain the student first about the lesson then gave them
instruction to do the class work. For the dynamics of the class, it was also appropriate,
because teacher and student should have a good relationship and especially to encourage
all student to participate in class activity.
6. Did you move the lesson along at an appropriate pace?
Yes, I do, because I followed the procedures and use appropriate amount of time that I
am going to teach the student, because I had to manage my time effectively.
