Trends
During research for trends, I found that 2021 would have more cutout patterns, patchwork, oversize
wear especially oversize shoulders, transparent or sheer wear, long fringes, as well as monochrome
fashion. From the following trends for my collection designing purpose, I have picked up Oversized,
Transparent wear for summer and Monochrome fashion as an overall theme of my collection. I have
named my collection Bold in One implying the use of an individual bold and bright color in each design
and empowering women in them.

Summer
Summer Fashion is generally focused on countering the heat, bright colors and comfort. The colors used
in summer vary from pastel colors to bright colors of nature. In line with my theme of Bold in One I have
selected colors from nature like Greens from the leaves and the orange from the orange fruit and the
bright sun rises.

Winter.
Winter fashion is focused around providing warmth and isolation to protect oneself from the cold and
traditionally winter colors have been dark and dull, but 2021 is going to see a rise in trend for bright
Reds, Lilac, Mandarin Orange, and Pop of colors like yellow and pink in design collections. For my specific
collection I have chosen Lilac or Sheet as one of the colors and the other being Blue. I chose these two
colors together as when it gets cold, and we notice the sky getting darker carefully implying the end of
the day we see the sky has a mix of Lilac/Purple and Blues. Thus, I have connected the end of the day
withthe end of the year.
