Introduce the PDP setting

The Professional development plan or PDP is considered to be essential for self-development

and professional development. The plan is a documented record of the work objectives and
progress made by an individual. The PDP is helpful in framing the plans better and staying
organised that is useful for the better application of time and resources available. It helps to
become more efficient and saves time which can be applied to focus on the paperwork of the
students. It is helpful in setting out the goals and actions for long term and short-term periods
that help in the fulfillment of the objectives. As a teacher, it is required to constantly develop
oneself throughout the career. The conduction of a PDP provides the facility to promote the skills
along with the establishment of a learning environment that is good and secured for the mentees.
The PDP is useful for improving the professional development of the teachers. PDP allows the
teachers to build on their self-awareness and reflect on their performances, plan for better
learning and present their proficiency. The PDP provides the opportunity and ways to achieve
the goals. It has improved my performance above the grades and helped me to become better at
my profession.

Justify your professional development goals for this semester

As a teacher, professional development is vital to one's career and critical for success. Being a
teacher helps to develop the understanding of the weaknesses teaching that is gained and analyse
the strengths and weaknesses after each semester and at the end of the six semesters (Körkkö et
al, 2020). It also helps to build the effectiveness of team engagement. The PDP helps by writing
and maintaining track of the goals that are required to be achieved. These are made on the basis
of the feedback received from the MST and MCT recommendations. It encourages the teachers
to become better and achieve success in their profession (Coenders & Verhoef, 2019). PDP helps

3

to keep track of the achievement and increases experience. It is useful in developing the skills
and becoming confident (Hutchison & Woodward, 2018). The professional developments act as
a guidance for the mistakes and requirements and effectively shape the career in the long term.

EPC 4406 – Practicum 4a

Introduction:

I did enrol myself at Sad ibn Obadiah primary school as a teacher, as my MST name is
Huda. In terms of my teaching responsibilities over here as a teacher, I did teach grade
4 and spoken English as per the complete teaching syllabus. I have done 11 lessons
and am attending to deliver more. Since the start of my teaching career, I did deliver
teaching concerning Two observations with DR. Neil I did teach 9 along with my MST
and the feedbacks and the rest without feedback.
Being a teacher, I never stop learning as per my actions and skills regarding the school
after the very first day and the very first beginning of myself as a teacher along with
students in terms of maximum professionalism to deliver that towards the stakeholder
regarding fully equipped in terms of my professional responsibilities. In addition to that
to keep my commitment and supporting role as per my verbal gesture, ultimately can
able to deliver the same practically. As per the same teaching role I commit my support
professionalism in terms of introduction to watch my MST initially why email and later I
did it change phone number to communicate in terms of communication with her after
that I engage with teams and classes upon the prescribed time. Although I did face
some issues at the start so I did ask for support from my MST in case of requirement.

Lesson plan:

The lesson plan is considering the most essential and significant element in terms of the
class environment concerning students throughout the career of a teacher. Sins after
the grip on the lesson plan, a teacher can able to deliver the practical learning,
ultimately can able to engage the maximum effective strategic approach in terms of
feedback upon student learning procedures. This can able to deliver the maximum
effective response as per critical learning experience in terms of students.
The complete and effective lesson plan can engage all the essential components along
with the learning objective teacher’s activities and assessment for student
understanding knowledge skills and abilities.
As for the statement of Koutselini (2012), perfect learning structures enable teachers in
terms of study patterns by engaging the student’s biographies and bio theories under
consideration.
Being a teacher this is my professional responsibility to maintain my lesson as per the
maximum professional manner to implementation differentiated on my lesson. For the
same purpose, I did seek support from MST in terms of providing all the necessary

10

material including book pages’ records and learning feedback. As per the learning
feedback I was supposed to engage myself within different groups upon different
activities instead to work hard and engage different ideas in terms of achieving my
objectives, I did prefer to work smart. [ CITATION MDa08 \l 1033 ]

Learning management:

Positive feedback is the key to success and is delivering the maximum positive attitude
in response to the positive feedback. Ultimately it enhances student's motivational level
in terms of acknowledgment for the deliverance of academic excellence in front of the
whole class.
Delivering a positive attitude and behaviour is more effective as compared to a negative
punishment attitude or behaviour. Ultimately the same positive behaviour and attitude
can deliver the message in front of the whole class concerning its valuation and
authentication. Hence can able to set the best examples among students along with the
motivational spirit to deliver good things.
As per the style of my MST, always delivering rewards towards students in terms of
rules and regulations acceptance along with an active listener, active participants hard
worker. hence able to achieve the badges as a reward by my MST.
As per the conceptual framework of classroom management, it can deliver the complete
structural mechanism in terms of behaviour management but teacher and school
towards the students during the class. As per Emmer & Seaborne (2015; Everson &
Weinstein (2006) the core purpose of classroom management is to develop and
implement the strategic approach concerning professional behaviours which can able to
enhance the student's academic engagement, achievement performance, and
efficiency. [ CITATION Har13 \l 1033 ]

Learning implementation:

Implementing the learning within the practical manner within the campus is the key to
success in terms of academic procedural structural mechanisms. As per my initial
teaching practice in terms of an online session, I intended to utilize the technology
within the classroom. After I start my TP, I did seek guidance from my MST and
Colleagues in terms of file uploading during my online classes session. Online teaching
delivers me a great chance in terms of implementing the technology during class in
addition that I also engage utilize most of the technological structures including live
worksheet, Teams LMS, YouTube, Near pod, Quizzes, Kahoot, and Quizlet.

EPC 4406 – Practicum 4a

The utilization of Technology during the classroom is the combination of two major
components in terms of engagement the right tech tool at the right time and the proper
knowledge in terms of utilization by the teacher during the class, ultimately can able to
deliver the maximum motivational spirit to the student in terms of learning. Although it is
not easy yet it is not difficult instead it is tricky, ultimately teachers need to apply the
right trick at the right time to engage the maximum effectiveness of the students within
the class.

Challenges concerning my lesson plan and eliminate in the

coming sessions:
During my academic career, I did achieve among three major objectives in terms of the
deliverance of my professional responsibility as this was a long major achievement to
achieve these objectives as a teacher ultimately will deliver me a maximum motivational
spirit in the future.
Among the major challenges that did face during my professional career on the initial
basis was time management for my teachings. Although the pattern of teaching has
been changed because of the online structured teaching instead of traditional classroom
teaching, still the time management is among the major challenges currently I am
facing. Although I share my concerns with my MST via WhatsApp and email, still
physical interaction is better as compared to online interaction.
In addition to the always face tissue in terms of proper allocation of time for the multiple
activities during the online class session of the specific time limit. [ CITATION TCB09 \l
1033 ]
Other than that the implementation of the differentiated activities I face confusion from
my students. Although I try to explain my level best but still the guidelines delivered by
me to my student have not been taken seriously but students.
Apart from that and another major challenge that I do face in my class session is in
terms of not paying attention to instructions that I deliver to a student before the start of
the class. I still face issues in terms of open mics and direct communication by the
students with each other without even paying attention towards the lesson. Along with
that not to raise a hand and start speaking during the session.
Conclusion:
To address the above-mentioned challenges and issues, I am planning to eliminate
these above mention issues and challenges by having a detailed discussion with my
MST to seek the guidelines and solutions for the issues. In addition to that, I would also
prefer to gain suggestions and recommendations in terms of technical skills and tactics
concerning handling the students during the class session. Other than that, I would also

12
EPC 4406 – Practicum 4a

gain help from the search engines in terms of the solution towards these problems,
ultimately can able to cover my loop areas, and finally, I will generate the sticky notes
with me in terms of my weak points before the next session of the class, so that to avoid
all of the errors mistakes and weaknesses mentioned on sticky notes.
