MS Excel Charts

In MS Excel, a chart is often called a graph. It is a visual


representation of data from a worksheet that can bring
more understanding to the data than just looking at the
numbers.
A chart is a powerful tool that allows you to visually
display data in a variety of different chart formats such as
Bar, Columns, Pie, Line, Area, Doughnut, Scatter, Surface,
or Radar Charts.
With Excel, it is easy to create a chart.
Bar Chart- A bar chart is the horizontal version of column
chart. Use a bar chart if you have large text labels.

Pie Chart- (or a circle chart) is a circular statistic graphic,


which is divided into slices to illustrate numerical
proportion.

Line Chart- is a type of chart which displays information


as a series of data points called “markers” connected by
straight line-segments.
Area Chart- or area graph displays graphically
quantitative data. It is based on the line chart. The area
between axis is and line area commonly emphasized with
colors, textures, and hatchings.
Commonly compares two or more quantities with on
area chart.
