Re: Offer of Admission ‐ Master of Engineering Program (MEng), Department of Civil and Environmental
Engineering
Dear Rajendra,
Based on your outstanding academic record, I am pleased to offer you admission as a full‐time graduate student in
the Master of Engineering (MEng) program starting September 2021. You will be provided with the official Offer of
Admission electronically from the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Due to the competitive nature of
this program, the offer must be accepted no later than April 8, 2021. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation
of the admission offer.
As outlined by the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Program Regulations, you are required to maintain
an average of at least 70% over all courses taken, with no grade less than 60%. Term and Cumulative averages, and
individual marks are assessed at the start of each term. If, after your first term of enrollment, you fail to meet either
of these minimum requirements, you may be asked to withdraw from the MEng program.
Throughout the MEng program you are required to maintain continuous enrolment within your Academic Load (full‐
time or part‐time) as specified in the Offer of Admission letter from The School of Graduate and Postdoctoral
Studies. The MEng program may be completed in three terms, provided you are a full‐time student.
We look forward to you joining our program at Western Engineering in September 2021. Western Engineering is
aware of the situation that has arisen due to COVID‐19 and that it may impact your academic plan. We would like to
assure you that Western Engineering is fully committed to support your academic program and is reviewing possible
options for students who wish to start their program in September 2021. We will contact you as soon as we have
more details.
If you plan to be in the London area, I invite you to visit us to review our program more fully and to meet some of
our graduate students and graduate faculty. In September, I will meet with you to discuss some details of your
program and answer any questions you may have at that time.
There will be no financial assistance or Teaching Assistantship provided to you during the course of this program.
Please ensure that you have sufficient funds to support yourself over the entire period of your MEng program. For
information on Graduate Tuition Fees please go to www.uwo.ca/registrar and select Graduate Tuition Fee option
