Re : EMPLOYEE GUIDELINES ON COVID 19

“No one is safe unless everyone is safe”, says the Philippine President, Rodrigo Roa Duterte as he calls
for universal access to Covid 19 vaccines during the United Nations General Assembly (Source:
Rappler.com)

Whilst everyone is patiently waiting for this much anticipated Covid 19 vaccines, we in Human Resources
would want to get everyone’s participation and commitment in ensuring that we lessen the probability of
spreading the virus in the workplace. Businesses across industries are finding ways to cope with the impact
of this global health emergency, and as such, our company is also aiming to proactively find ways support
the said initiative, to limit the spread of COVID-19 while still meeting work efficiency and effectiveness.

Please take note of these key reminders in supporting the COVID-19 pandemia.

I. PREVENTIVE MEASURES.

All employees are strongly encouraged to follow these preventive measures:

 Company’s has initiated on providing wellness allowance that took effect last November 10, 2020.
This should ensure that all employees are being supported monthly in purchasing the following
COVID essentials such as Personal Protective Equipment like facemask, face shield and alcohol
and Vitamins and Supplements to boost your immune system.
 Ensure compliance on accomplishing the Daily Health Checklist.
 Practice regular wearing of PPE such as face masks and face shields.
 Perform hand hygiene frequently, particularly after contact with respiratory secretions.
 Hand hygiene includes either cleaning hands with soap and water or with an alcohol- based
hand rub. Alcohol-based hand rubs are preferred if hands are not visibly soiled; wash hands with
soap and water when they are visibly soiled.
 Cover your nose and mouth with a flexed elbow or paper tissue when coughing or sneezing
and disposing immediately of the tissue and performing hand hygiene;
 Refrain from touching mouth and nose;

II. SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES

Do not congregate in rooms or other areas where people socialize. Keep distance of about six (6)
feet apart whenever possible.
 Consider different schedules and venues in taking meals and breaks. It is highly encouraged
to have your meals at your desk or away from others.
 Maximize the use of available work tools such as email, Microsoft Teams, Zoom or
phone when possible.
 Limit recreational or other activities where close contacts with others is most likely to
happen. If needed, ensure to have your face masks and face shields.

Avoid rush-hour when using public transportation.


 Come early or late, whichever is more convenient, to minimize exposure to large
crowds.

Avoid large crowds and visiting public places such as malls, parks, movie houses, and
other recreational facilities, especially in poorly-ventilated spaces where the risk of
exposure is higher.
 Avoid coming into contact with high-touch surfaces in public places such as door handles,
escalators, rails, and elevator buttons. Use tissue or cover your hand if you must touch
these, otherwise, wash or sanitize your hands immediately

Refrain from physical contact. Avoid shaking or holding hands during work and other-
related events. Avoid cheek-kissing during events.

III. WORK-RELATED ACTIVITIES

Meeting and Events

Business Essential Meetings. Face-to-face meeting may be held provided this is being help
in a large room where social distancing can be practiced. Remote meeting is encouraged whenever
possible.

Daily health checklist form should be accomplished by visitors for the protection of all
employees within our premises.

Meetings with external parties such as job applicants and suppliers should be limited to video or voice
calls, if possible.

Field Works

Should be limited to essential travels only.

Field activities will be suspended for areas with travel restrictions. Maximize the use of technology in
conducting activities critical to business operations.

Conditions on swab antigen testing shall be facilitated as indicated in the memo released last
November 5, 2020.
IV. COVID 19 RESPONSE TEAM

COVID 19 RESPONSE TEAM shall be appointed per site to help the organization in overseeing strict
implementation of these initiatives. Human Resources shall be on top of selecting the ambassadors per
site and closely coordinating with them to ensure everybody’s compliance.
