It is a Korean martial art characterized by
punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on
head-height kicks, jumping spinning kicks, and fast
kicking techniques. The literal translation for tae
kwon do is "foot," "hand," and "art."
Head guard
- It is typically made from vinyl or dipped foam and is
fastened by a chin strap. It may contain vents designed
for better ventilation and hearing. Head guard protects
against cuts, scrapes, and swelling during training or
sparring.

Mouth guard
- It is is used by participants in martial arts or combat
sports to protect the mouth against injuries induced by
punching or kicking during training, sparring and
competition.

Body guard
- One way to score points in taekwondo is to kick or
punch the opponent in the torso. A body guard is a vest
that covers the entire torso to prevent injury during
competition or practice.

Gloves
- Taekwondo gloves are lightweight and provide foam
protection. It is sure to keep your hands safe. These are
used to protect fingers and knuckles from breakage and
injury in training, sparring, or competition.
Groin guard
- A groin guard is something that is used to protect a
fighter’s groin region. This can be of two types such as
soft and hard cups.

Shin guard
- It is made of dense foam that protects the shin by
dispersing the impact. Shin guard provides shock
absorption and facilitates energy dissipation, thereby
decreasing the risk of serious injuries.

Belt
- In taekwondo, belts are used to determine rank.
Taekwondo ranks vary from style to style and are not
standardized. Typically, these ranks are separated into
"junior" and "senior" sections, colloquially referred to as
"color belts" and "black belts."

Mat
- Taekwondo mat is made of thick foam. It combines
shock absorption to help keep athletes safe while also
providing the stability athletes need to stand, jump, and
balance.

Kick pad
- Kick pad allows taking kicks to new heights. It aids
in checking tactics, specifically how and where kicks are
landed.
