Éachtaí:
 I was honored to be chosen as captain by my club u14 team in Corduff where we
succeeded in winning the Division 3 double (championship & league) and from
there, went on to play in Feile Peil na nÓg in Mayo.
 I won the school’s ‘Student of The Year’ award in 2nd Year.
 I was part of the school ‘Tráth na gCeist’ quiz team that won a regional title and in
turn competed in the All-Irelands.
 I played Mid-Field for my u14 school team in 2019 who won the Ulster Final.
 I achieved straight A’s in my Junior Certificate through Predicted Grades from my
teachers.
 I acheived 9 Distinctions and 1 Higher Merit in my Classroom Based Assesments
during the Junior Cycle.
  I played for my county u14 team in 2019 where we managed to get to an All-Ireland
Final.

Caitheamh Aimsire:
I’m always try to keep busy, whether it’s sports training or an extra-cirriculam activity. My
home away from home is my club pitch, Corduff, where i train with my u16, minor and senior
team. I was also honored to be picked as vice captain this year for mu u16 team, despite it
only being my first offical year playing the age group.

I play basketball for my club u16 team Carrick Cruisers, a team i have been apart of for almost
3 years. I also play soccer u16 for Carrick Rovers, a new sport for me that i’m really enjoying.
To add to that, i helped my Mam set up a Corduff Camogie Team this year after my football
season ended early and I really love this new sport.

I play the guitar and piano and tend to perform in front my family and extended family often.
This helped to grow my confidence and develop my social skills.

I have signed up for many different clubs and extra activities in Transition Year in an effort to
keep productive and develop different skills. I was once told “You get out of Transition Year,
what you put into it” and I plan to gte a lot out of this year at school. I am a member of the
school’s ‘Young Social Innovators’ team that are taking part in the competition this year. I am
also a part of the team that are working on ‘Radió Oiriall – Idirlinn’ , the school’s radio station.
I took part in the ‘Feachtas Gaeilge : Tráth na gCeist’ again this year, where my team (made up
of only 4th years) managed to get 3rd in the Ulster region against 5th and 6th years.

I have chosen to take part in GAISCE : The President’s Award this year as it is something I’ve
always wanted to do. I’m very excited for the different projects I will be doing over the course
of 26 weeks and the ‘Adventure ___’ at the end of the year! I have also decided to be a part of
the programme ‘Traeináil na nOifigeach Dara Léibheal Gaeilge’ this year which is about
teaching and appreciating the Irish language in which I am fluent.

I was delighted to be chosen this a ‘Homework Helper’ and as a ‘Sport Helper’ for the school
this year after applying. I have helped the first years of our school with their homework and
other years with different sporting activities which is great fun.

Although it is hard to do work experience during these times, I was lucky enough to get the
opportunity to experience the media world. I did work experience with the well known sports
and Gaeilgeoir presenter, Máire Treasa Ní Reallaigh. In turn I worked with the company ‘Fóg
Fen’ in putting the senior and intermediate club finals and semi-finals of Monaghan on the
television (Monaghan GAA TV). I learned a lot of skills from this experience and I was delighted
to mix with some big Monaghan names!

 Bhain mé Gradam nó A’s iomláin i mo Teastas Sóisearaigh tríd torthaí atáthar.
 9 gradam agus 1 ardtuillteanas i mo chuid ‘Measúnú Rang Bhunaithe’ tríd an Cúrsa
Nua Sraith Sóisearaigh.

Craobh na hÉireann.

den fhoireann YSI , atá ag tógáil páirt sa chomortas i mbliana. Táim mar bhall den foireann atá
ag obair ar ‘Radió Oiriall : Idirlinn’ , stáisiún radió na scoile. Thóg mé phairt i Feachtas Gaeilge :
Tráth na gCeist i mbliana arís, áit a raibh muid i gcoinne an 5ú bhliain agus an 6ú bhliain.
