6MB Telecontrol System: 6MB552 Compact Remote Terminal Unit
Application range
The 6MB552 compact remote terminal
unit is a member of the SINAUT LSA
substation control and protection product
range. It is dimensioned for medium
volumes of process data.
For telecontrol applications with smaller
or larger volumes of process data, the
following SINAUT LSA products are avail-
able:
6MB551 station control unit for
medium to high volumes of process
data
6MB553 minicompact remote terminal
unit for low volumes of process data.
The central link to the switchyard is
parallel. A terminal block can be
interposed. Numerical protection units
and the distributed input/output units of
the 6MB system can also be connected
via fibre optic cable (see Fig. 2).

Supply
We supply the unit from the factory in a
7XP20 housing. It contains an FP module
and the SV power supply with an
integrated line filter and fuse. Four
predefined standard module
complements can be ordered using the
order numbers given above. If you
require a different module complement,
you must order the I/O modules
separately.
MD module and FO modules are supplied
as specified in the order number.
1) 5 standard plug–in stations (SPS) are free: Not all combinations of modules are permissible (observe power loss). Clarify each case with EV S E.
2) One telecontrol interface is assigned for the field link. Only in conjunction with 2 telecontrol interfaces V.24/V.28 (RS 232 C) and MD V.21 modem (11th
position = 4). Software functionality ”field link” requires software version V9 (16th position = 5).
3) Only in conjunction with 2 telecontrol interfaces V.24/V.28 (RS 232 C) and MDV21 modem (11th position = 4).
