Interviewer: My name is Cristian, today I will be the interviewer for the

position of finance manager in the Intercorp group. Well, with all that said,
let's start with the interview.

Candidate A: My name is Ken Alfaro. I studied accounting at UTP. My

previous job was in a public administrator as an accounting consultant. I
had to qualify, measure and analyze the economic reality of the company.

Candidate B: My name is Jhonatan Castillo. I studied economics at UPN.

My previous job was in a financial institution as a financial analyst. I had
to suggest ways to reduce costs, increase revenue and improve profits.

Interviewer: How are they considered at work?

Candidate A: I am efficient and applied. The most important thing for me

is teamwork. You can see that reflected in my CV, where I had great
achievements in my previous company.

Candidate B: I am responsible, punctual and supportive. The most

important thing for are the results obtained through the group effort.

Interviewer: Okey! Next question. Why do you want to work here? 

Candidate A: Because I feel that my skills could fit very well in this job and
I have to prove to myself that I can overcome my limits.

Candidate B: The Intercorp group is one of the most important companies

in Peru and I think it will be a challenge to work here, but it will
undoubtedly allow me to develop my knowledge.
Interviewer: What are your strengths?

Candidate A: I am a punctual person. I always arrive early and finish my

work on time. In my previous job I had deadlines and I always made sure
to organize myself and get all the tasks done.

Candidate B: I am a creative person who likes to work with others. I

believe that teamwork is essential to obtain good results.

Interviewer: And what are its weak points?

Candidate A: Before, I had a lack of self-confidence, but fortunately

thanks to experience and the fact that I have been able to make good
decisions, I have gained the self-confidence that I needed.

Candidate B: Sometimes I am slower to complete my tasks compared to

others because I really want to do things right. I will duplicate or
sometimes triple-check documents and files to make sure everything is
accurate.

Interviewer:  Why did they leave their previous jobs?

Candidate A: After 5 years working there, I felt like I was ready to face new
challenges. I wanted a promotion, but there was no opportunity, so I
decided to seek new experiences in a different organization.

Candidate B: I learned a lot in that job position but I reached my limit as

there was no additional training or possibilities of climbing in the
organization chart of the company.
Interviewer:  Finally, why should I hire one of you?

Candidate A: You should hire me for my passion and proven skills in

organizing for business efficiency.

Candidate B: Because I have years of experience in an environment

similar to yours, I also have excellent leadership skills and am willing to
work for the good of the company.

Entrevistador: Mi nombre es Cristian, hoy seré el entrevistador para el
puesto de gerente de finanzas en el grupo Intercorp. Bueno, con todo lo
dicho, comencemos con la entrevista.

Candidato A: Mi nombre es Ken Alfaro. Estudié contabilidad en la UTP. Mi

trabajo anterior fue en un administrador público como consultor contable.
Tuve que calificar, medir y analizar la realidad económica de la empresa.

Candidato B: Mi nombre es Jhonatan Castillo. Estudié economía en la

UPN. Mi trabajo anterior fue en una institución financiera como analista
financiero. Tuve que sugerir formas de reducir costos, aumentar los
ingresos y mejorar las ganancias.

Entrevistador: ¿Cómo se les considera en el trabajo?

Candidato A: Soy eficiente y aplicado. Lo más importante para mí es el

trabajo en equipo. Puedes ver eso reflejado en mi CV, donde tuve grandes
logros en mi empresa anterior.

Candidato B: Soy responsable, puntual y solidario. Lo más importante

son los resultados obtenidos a través del esfuerzo grupal.

Entrevistador: ¡Okey! Próxima pregunta. ¿Por qué quiere trabajar aquí?

Candidato A: Porque siento que mis habilidades podrían encajar muy bien
en este trabajo y tengo que demostrarme a mí mismo que puedo superar
mis límites.

Candidato B: El grupo Intercorp es una de las empresas más importantes

del Perú y creo que será un desafío trabajar aquí, pero sin duda me
permitirá desarrollar mis conocimientos.
Entrevistador: ¿Cuáles son sus puntos fuertes?

Candidato A: Soy una persona puntual. Siempre llego temprano y termino

mi trabajo a tiempo. En mi trabajo anterior tenía plazos y siempre me
aseguraba de organizarme y hacer todas las tareas.

Candidato B: Soy una persona creativa a la que le gusta trabajar con

otros. Creo que el trabajo en equipo es fundamental para obtener buenos
resultados.

Entrevistador: ¿Y cuáles son sus puntos débiles?

Candidato A: Antes tenía falta de confianza en mí mismo, pero

afortunadamente gracias a la experiencia y al hecho de que he podido
tomar buenas decisiones, he ganado la confianza en mí mismo que
necesitaba.

Candidato B: A veces soy más lento para completar mis tareas en

comparación con otros porque realmente quiero hacer las cosas bien.
Duplicaré o, a veces, verificaré tres veces los documentos y archivos para
asegurarme de que todo sea correcto.

Entrevistador: ¿Por qué dejaron sus trabajos anteriores?

Candidato A: Después de 5 años trabajando allí, sentí que estaba listo

para enfrentar nuevos desafíos. Quería un ascenso, pero no había
oportunidad, así que decidí buscar nuevas experiencias en una
organización diferente.

Candidato B: Aprendí mucho en ese puesto de trabajo pero llegué a mi

límite ya que no había formación adicional ni posibilidades de escalar en
el organigrama de la empresa.
Entrevistador: Finalmente, ¿por qué debería contratar a uno de ustedes?

Candidato A: Debería contratarme por mi pasión y habilidades

comprobadas en la organización para la eficiencia empresarial

Candidato B: Debido a que tengo años de experiencia en un entorno

similar al suyo, también tengo excelentes habilidades de liderazgo y estoy
dispuesto a trabajar por el bien de la empresa.
