Noteworthy features:
The Black Hawk is our first rotary product to make full use of our 3D RealGauge technology.
The cockpit is modelled in ultra-realistic detail and features full night lighting textures & effects.
The MFD has been sculpted to perfectly emulate the real-world H-60 MFD system.
Included are 8 beautifully detailed paint schemes and 7 model variants (6 for FS9).
The input of three H-60 personnel was used in order to ensure a high level of accuracy
throughout the package.
FSX DX10 compatible model complete with interior self-shadowing, realistic spec and shine, and
custom bump mapping to bring every rivet and surface to life.
Limitations in FSX:
Lights can appear to differ in position when viewed from different viewpoints, such as the tower
view. This is a known FSX issue, and not an issue with the model.
Limitations in FS9:
The FS9 version has a lower level of detail in certain areas in the virtual cockpit. This is simply
because FS9 cannot cope with the level of detail that FSX can.
The product contains versions for both Flight Simulator 9 and Flight Simulator X. The FSX version is a full-
featured FSX release, including all of our now standard technologies such as cockpit self shadowing, HDR
bloom effects, and bump mapping.
Our thanks extend to the H-60 crew that offered their input on this project, and to the dedicated beta
testers that scanned various versions with their trained eyes! Thank-you to William Ortis for his help
with the gauges.

PIRACY!
This Virtavia release is a commercial product and should be treated the same as any other product you
would buy from a store.
REAL time, REAL money, and REAL efforts were tirelessly invested in the creation of this product.
The act of piracy and the criminals masterminding illegal websites behind such acts are eroding our
hobby and our industry.
Please support the development team and our precious hobby by ensuring that you own a legitimate,
purchased copy of the product.
PIRACY IS A CRIME.
Due to the complexity of the RealGauge technology, and the guaranteed frame rate increase, this
product is designed to be completely flown from the Virtual Cockpit. A basic 2D panel is included with
GPS and NAV/COMM radio stack pop-ups.

The display defaults to OFF, and can be powered up using the top right button. The system will then
perform a short self-test before presenting the pilot with the menu screen.
Time/Date will display the current local time and date. It also displays a Hobbs-style readout
that measures the hours in 1/10th’s that the engines have been running.
The MFD defaults to a power-OFF state, and can be powered up using the switch on the top
right of the fascia. The MFD will perform a self-test and then display the default ATT page.
NOTE: when powering up, the MFD displays a date and a version number. This is the Black
Hawk product version number and the date that is shown is the date that the corresponding
version was released.
Clicking NAV will display navigation information including waypoint to and destination data,
and a heading indicator strip. The current heading is represented in the outlined box- in this
case, 337.
The TO section displays the next waypoint ID, heading and distance, and finally time to
waypoint.
The DEST section displays the final waypoint ID, ultimate heading and time to destination.
Clicking the soft key next to CAU ADV will display a truncated caution-advisory box.
The display shows a heading indicator strip in the same position as the ATT page. By pressing
the middle-right soft key, the CAU-ADV panel can be toggled.
The HOV page is divided into three main parts. Heading, hover status, and wind.
Wind speed is displayed as a digital readout, with wind direction represented by the arrow. The
arrow will move 360 degrees around the speed box to match the current wind conditions.
The hover status section is dynamic and activated when the helicopter reaches 25 knots from
flight status. The crosshairs will move ‘up’ the screen towards the box from 25 knots. The
slower the helicopter, the slower the crosshairs move. When the crosshairs are in the box, the
helicopter is in a hover. Regardless of motion, the crosshairs always move down. They will
never pass the box, nor move left or right of it. As long as the helicopter has motion, the
crosshairs will move.
Pressing the soft-key on the left of the HDG UP text will display a heading reading above the
flight plan area.
