V. WELDING PROCEDURE
Welding parameters:
◼ 1 run 2.5 mm DC-
◼ 2 run 3.2 mm DC+
◼ 3 run 3.2 mm DC+

◼ 7 run 3.2 mm DC+
1. Clean the weld edges or surfaces of all loose scale, slag, rust, paint, oil, and other foreign
matter. Ensure that the joint surfaces are smooth and uniform.
2. Prepare your pipe with a single-v groove and align the piping before the tack welds.
3. Root penetration not exceeding allowable tolerances specified by welding codes/ -
standards on:
a. concavity
b. convexity
c. undercut
d. excess penetration
e. lack of fusion
f. burn-through.

diameter e-308 with correct ampere
ranges settings.
5. Weld capping/ final pass not exceeding
allowable tolerances specified by welding
codes/ standards on
- height of reinforcement
- underfill
- porosities
- undercut
- cracks
- cold laps
