PROJECT PROPOSAL

TITLE: Advantages and Disadvantages of Educational Apps for Children Aged from 7 to 9
years old

RATIONALE:

An educational app platform is an integration of learning management systems and

technologies to provide a customized, end-to-end, education solution. It requires gadgets and
even an internet connection depending on the app. Examples of these apps are Youtube kids,
Crossword Puzzles, Class Dojo, etc. This offers many advantages but some disadvantages.
Educational apps offer remote learning, which may be useful in the time of the pandemic, deliver
education and entertainment, where students can learn lessons while still being entertained, and
offer better communication. However, relying too much on mobile applications may decline the
development of the sociability of the student. Additionally, not all students, especially in the
Philippines, have access to the resources needed in mobile applications like gadgets and internet
connection. This proposal will state possible courses of action to mitigate the disadvantages in
learning through educational apps.
EXPECTED OUTCOME
           This proposal should be able to contribute to the feasibility of using educational apps as a
modality in learning. This would provide additional learning methods to deliver quality
education.
COURSE OF ACTION

The possible courses of action are stated in the table below:

2 Improvement of the area’s internet service. Funding on internet companies by the
government
3 Supply of mobile data plans. School budget
 The mobile phones given to families should be treated as a school property and will be
returned after every school year. Unnecessary apps like games should not be installed on the
phone and will be monitored by parents or guardians. The teacher will install all the educational
apps necessary for lessons. Monthly mobile plans will be given if the educational apps need
internet connection. The government’s support is highly needed to achieve the courses of action.
