• Madhya Pradesh came into existence on 1 November, 1956.
• In 2000, the state broke up into two, Madhya Pradesh and
Chhattisgarh.
• Currently, the number of districts in state is 52.
• A new district NIWARI is created in october 2018 by
partitioning Tikamgarh district.

INITIALLY FOUNDED BY KING BHOJ (1000-1055).

Bhopal was formerly a part of Bhopal princely state, which was


founded in 1723 by Dōst Moḥammad Khan, an Afghan
Adventurer.

During 1819-1926 Bhopal was ruled by 4 Begum namely-


Begum Qudsia
Begum Nawab Sikandar
Begum Sultan Shah Jehan
Begum Kaikhusrau Jahan
Begum Sajida Sultan

Hamidulla khan ruled until 1949(last ruler).

Bhojpur Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

the banks of the Vetraveti River in
Raisen district.
Known as Somnath of the East.

been a wildlife sanctuary since
1976. As of March 2013
declared as TIGER RESERVE.

Bhimbetka rock shelters, It is
