ABSTRACT

The aim and motivation of this industrial training is to receive discipline, skills,

teamwork and technical knowledge through a proper training environment, which

will help me, as a student in the field of Automobile industry, to develop a

responsiveness of the self-disciplinary nature of problems in Automobile and in

machinery as well. During a period of two weeks training at CRISP bhopal, I was

assigned to build hydraulics Circuits so that the movement of piston as required can

be achieved. Some times i was asked to work with other Students to teach the

importance of teamwork. Throughout this industrial training, I have first time saw

these machinery and how hydraulics are used in these machines . This was a great

learning experiance for me but i have lot to learn there were many things i did not

understood how it works with such a short time there but i have to learn in future.

Report

This internship report is the result of a more than two weeks of internship at the Centre Of
Research and Industrial Staff performance (CRISP).
In the Second year of the Automobile engineering , two weeks of internship is a compulsory
part of the program.

On First day we were told about the basics related to hydraulics and how it works. All the
basic laws required in industrial hydraulics for example Pascal’s Law of pressure which
states that ‘in a enclosed fluid the pressure exerted in each point is equal in all direction ’ .
They introduce the hydraulics machinery which i saw for the first time in my life ,At first
they seem complicated but they told they will teach how it works in coming days .
The hydraulics are very useful in automobiles for example they are used in braking system,
shock absorber ,steering system, wind shield and it can also used to lift the vehicle .

On second day we taught how pumps works and used in hydraulics. Combination of
pumping and driving motor is called hydraulic pump. Hydraulic pump uses hydraulic fluid
which is a some kind of oil from the storage tank and deliver it to hydraulic circuit.
The speed of the pump is constant and it deliver equal volume in each revolution.

On third day we were introduced to hydraulic Circuits which is the most important part of
this industrial training program . First the instructor showed us how to make hydraulic
circuit on a software . If the circuit works on the software then we can apply it on real
hydraulics circuit machine . The staff was very helpful as they allowed each student to use
the software .
The circuit diagram on the page is for reference only.

Circuit Diagram
For about two to three days were working on different types of circuit problems ,as we were
told that this is very important .

On seventh day we learned how Valves are used and their importance in hydraulics.
Control Valves In a hydraulic system, the hydraulic energy available from a pump is converted into motion and
force by means of an actuator. The control of these mechanical outputs is one of the most important functions in a
hydraulic system. The proper selection of control selection ensures the desired output and safe function of the
system. In order to control the hydraulic outputs, different types of control valves are required.

1. Directional control valves

2. Flow control valves
3. Pressure control valves

Directional-Control Valve

These valves are used to control the start, stop and change in direction of the fluid flow. These valves regulate the
flow direction in the hydraulic circuit.
On ninth day we taught about accumulators ,accumulators are used in some hydraulic system to
store volume of liquid under pressure to help main system pressure ,and to act as a shock absorber.
Accumulators can increase efficiency, provide smoother, more reliable operation, and store
emergency power in case of electrical failure.

Accumulator

upto three days we worked and learned Around accumulators and by using some circuits on
software as well as on hydraulic circuit machine .
Then we learned about hoses , connectors and seals and rectifying there
problems.

Seals
Conclusion

This training course Provided a vast amount of Knowledge about how hydraulics functions

and its uses in the automotive industry .

Throughout my internship, I could understand more about how i have work in future under the

management and how to take responsibility of the task assigned. Along my training period, I realize

that observation is a main element to find out the root cause of a problem. Not only for my project but

daily activities too. During my project, I cooperate with my colleagues and operators to determine the

problems. Moreover, the project indirectly helps me to learn independently, discipline myself, be

considerate/patient, self-trust, take initiative and the ability to solve problems. Besides, my

communication skills is strengthen as well when communicating with others. During my training period,

I have received criticism and advice from engineers and technician when mistakes were made.

However, those advices are useful guidance for me to change myself and avoid myself making the

same mistakes again. Apart from that, I had also developed my skills so that it won’t happen in the

near future. In sum, the activities that I had learned during industrial training really are useful for me in

future to face challenges in a working environment. Throughout the industrial training, I found that

several things are important:
