Blood Leak Detector calibration


1. Make sure there is no fluid in the AK 95 S If a calibration error occurs:

Calibrations

Variable flow calibration

This calibration will set the number of steps


needed to obtain a flow of 500 ml/min.
This value will then be used during functional
check and when entering service mode as the
flow always should be 500 ml/min in functional
check and service mode.

1. Start the AK 95 S, enter the Service menu


and select Calibrations.

2. Place A-pickup tube in the concentrate

3. Select Other / Variable flow to initiate the


calibration.

Note: If variable flow is not installed following

General

below the limit, check that the cuff hose is
correctly connected to the cuff and that the tube
is not kinked or squeezed.
Otherwise the failure is caused by the BPM
module and it must be replaced and sent to
Gambro for repair.

If the result from the pressure transducer cali-


bration test is outside the limits, it indicates that
the self-calibration function within the BPM
module not is able to adjust the pressure trans-
ducer output within limits. Possible causes are
pressure transducer or electronic circuits mal-
function. The BPM module must then be re-
placed and sent to Gambro for repair.
