The purpose of this document is to define the difference in the Basis of Design for the Gas
Processing Plant (GPP II) from the initial field location (Ikot-Abasi) and the Proposed
Current Location (Kwale as Train B) so as to ascertain the operability of GPP-II (Train A)
at the current Location based on these conditions.

C2 Recovery Plant shall be designed to operate at 110 % and 50% of production capacity without
affecting purity of the products.

3.12. Rainfall
There is a high level of rainfall in the coastal regions over the entire year, with less in the dry
season. The dry season at the site lasts from November to March, and the rainy season from April
to October.
3.13. Earthquake
Earthquake lateral load on the onshore structures will be in accordance to ASCE 7-05.
The following seismic design basis shall be used for design of structures, systems and
components:

3.16. Utilities
The project design philosophy is that it should be “self-supporting” under specified project
modes e.g. start-up, shutdown, upsets and normal operation.
Following provides the list of utilities.
Supply Pressure Fuel Gas: max: 6.0 Kg/cm², min: 3.0 Kg/cm²

Based on the GPP-II initial Location (Ikot-Abasi) GPM Compositional Value of 4.55 (Case
1) and 5.60 (Case 2), as shown in Table 1, which is higher than the GPM Compositional
value GPP-II Current Location (Kwale), that is; 4.34 (Case 1), 4.44 (Case 2), 3.82 (Case 3),
4.13 (Case 4), as shown in Table 2. Therefore, the GPP-II facility is compatible to operate
as Train B with the existing GPP-1 Facility (Train A) at the current location (Kwale).
