Planning Memo

AUDIENCE:
My audience for the individual tutorial will be anyone willing to participate in the game “Candy
Corn Chop Chop.” This is a game I’ve played with my children and have presented to their
classmates during holiday parties at school. It’s a hit!

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of my individual tutorial is to walk individuals step-by-step on how to
properly play the game “Candy Corn Chop Chop.”

PARTICULAR TOPICS AND TASKS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT:

I will target my individual tutorial toward an appropriate audience (children & adults) and
purpose. I will test my draft with at least three users and submit the results of my user testing on
Canvas and in my final portfolio.

RESEARCH AND REPORTING SCHEDULE:

April 9, 2021: Submit planning memo for project #3.

April 23, 2021: Submit Project #3 Usability Test Script/Materials with pre and post-test
questions.

April 28, 2021: Submit Usability Test Summary: Project #3.

April 30, 2021: Submit Rough Draft of Project #3.

May 3, 2021: Submit Summary of Peer Edits for Project #3.

TONE OR VOICE:
This individual tutorial will have a playful tone since I am explaining step-by-step how to properly
play the game “Candy Corn Chop Chop.”
