Tip: After climbing the Helper

Word Ladders, take out Helper Word
cards 1 through 9, and play Pile-up.
Remember how to play?
1.Hold each card, and ask your child
to read it to you.
2.If the card is read correctly, your child
gets to take it and begin to build a
pile. If it's not read correctly, read it
to your child and come back to it
after your child has tried reading
the rest of the cards. Watch the pile
grow with each new helper word
that your child learns.
