Scripture Reading: Ephesians 5: 1-2

“So be imitators of God, as beloved children and live in love,
as Christ loved us and handed Himself over for us as a
sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma.”

Silence
Points for reflection:

1. How do you experience God’s love?

2. Where is God inviting me to these experiences?
Prayer: Lord, I thank you for calling us, for encouraging us and
drawing us nearer to You. You bring us into a new day of
destiny as You call us to a journey. Lead and guide us
according to Your plan for us. We believe You are
always present in our life, young as we are, we have
failed many times to obey You, through our parents, our
teachers and friends. Forgive us, Lord, and never leave
our side. We make our prayers through Jesus our Lord
and Savior. Amen.

2:25pm – Synthesis:

Walang mali na nagyari sa ating buhay. Lahat ito ay biyaya;

DEEPENING:
As young people, we are loved by our friends and family despite the
mistakes that we have committed. God loves us this way; every day, He
still loves us even though we are imperfect. This is the reason why we
can love others, our family and friends, despite their imperfections. God
is inviting us to love one another as He loved us.

The Gospel according to St. John 15:12-15

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as

I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this that
someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if
you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants,
for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I
have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father
I have made known to you.

The Gospel of the Lord.

Friendships can often be exclusive with some people ’in’
and some ’out .’ But Jesus’ friendship goes beyond the
conventional and traditional definition of friendship. He offered
a kind of friendship that goes beyond even giving and offering
His own life. “This is my commandment, that you love one
another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this
that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (Jn. 15)
Sometimes friendships break up, and there are reasons
why this happens, likewise friendships can be mended.
Forgiveness is a very important element in this situation.
However, there is also the need, at times, for friendships to
change, as young people discover who they are and what
interests them. This change of friendships is healthy, but it is sad
if anger and bitterness are caused by these changes.
Let us have this Prayer of Friendship (Vienna Cobb Anderson)
Write the name of your prayer partner in your “Workbook,” then make a
Commitment Vow.

“Mula sa araw na ito, sa harap ng Diyos ipinapangako ko

ikaw__________ ay ipagdadasal ko sa lahat ng mga adhikain mo.”

A Friendship Prayer by Vienna Cobb Anderson.

You have blessed us, O God,

with the gift of friendship,
the bonding of persons
in a circle of love.
We thank you for such a blessing:
for friends who love us,
who share our sorrows,
who laugh with us in celebration,
who bear our pain,
who need us as we need them,
who weep as we weep,
who hold us when words fail,
and who give us the freedom
to be ourselves.
Bless our friends with health,
wholeness, life, and love.
Amen.
After the prayer, kindly click the react button “like” or “accepted”
button to your partner in the atmosphere of prayer, and say the words:
“FRIEND REQUEST: ACCEPTED”
