Turns Ratiometer

DESCRIPTION
The newly unveiled Teldar Instruments’ TTR-3000 3-
phase transformer turns ratiometer is an automatic,
microprocessor-based, precision instrument designed for
the speedy and accurate measurement of turns ratio and
vector group of 3-phase power and pad-mount
transformers. It can also test turns ratio and polarity of
single-phase distribution transformers, PT’s and CT’s.

The TTR-3000 features an advanced power supply that

automatically selects the optimum test voltage (from 15V
to 220VAC) for the specimen under test. This way, high
excitation current specimens such as dry type
transformers can also be tested.

Some 3-phase ratio tests require the user to physically

short out certain windings for the test to proceed. The
TTR-3000 performs this automatically, eliminating the TTR-3000 Ratiometer
cumbersome task of external shorting. A 3-phase ratio
test can be accomplished in just a few seconds. Test voltage: 15V ~ 220VAC, automatic selection

The TTR-3000 can test the vector group of all common Memory Capacity: 160 records
3-phase ANSI and IEC transformers having delta, wye or
zig-zag windings. Printer: Dot matrix, 45mm wide

The unit is compact in size, light-weight and easy to use. Display: LCD screen, 16 characters x 4 lines,
It is housed in a robust polymer box built to withstand sunlight viewable
the rigors of field service under arctic, tropic and high
voltage environments. Keypad: 16-key membrane keypad

User can choose to enter the transformer data such as

serial number, nominal ratio, tap changer data before
each test by which percentage error and transformer tap

position will be calculated automatically.
Weight: 8 kg (11kg with cables)
Unit has a non-volatile memory capacity for 160 records.
The built-in printer allows on-site print-out of test results.
