CP 38x FAULT CODE ANALYSIS

Fault code reading
CP38x Board can store 20 fault codes. After filling 20, the earliest fault code will be deleted and used to
record the newly generated fault code. Due to some different program versions, some fault codes will not be
recorded.
When reading the fault code with PMC, first of all, you should pay attention to FOSTER TIME and DIM
TIME, if they are inconsistent, set DIM TIME to be consistent with the local time.
Each trouble code contains the following information: E/C code, INFO, PHASE, POS and the moment of
occurrence
Read with PMC, record all fault code information, information without the PMC, can also read the E/C
code and INFO directly on the CP28x board.
When checking E/C should not ignore INFO, PHASE, POS and time of occurrence, etc. Otherwise it cannot
be analyzed correctly and comprehensively.
INFO:
S: Layer selection and direction of travel
W: Load and direction of travel
V: Speed status
OP: Operating mode
R: 2IR action status
PHASE: Yes indicates that the elevator is running (see the status table)
POS: is that the elevator is in a position that is running in the merge (see location table)
When occurred: is the moment when the fault code occurs (is an important basis for analyzing the occurrence of a
fault): second is month, day.

Fault code analysis:

Classification of barrier codes:

0 □: Communication information is abnormal
1 □: Well information device abnormal: 2IR, 3ME, 3IR, LS, SD
2 □: Torque control, abnormal speed control: Encoder, main computer board, Frequency converter.
3 □: Abnormal speed control
4 □: Flat layer information anomaly
5 □: Safety device abnormality: Terminal limit, door, safety circuit, LS, Mode of operation
6 □: Relay, Contactor exception
7 □: Abnormal door
8 □: MILLNET communication exception
9 □: Extended communication exception
A □: FD/AJ Adjustment abnormality
B □: Selector information is abnormal
C □: Door assist device abnormality, Control relay is abnormal
D □: Brake, Rope gripper abnormal
E □: Load information, high speed stop alarm
F □: Power restart

II. The fault code case:

1, 50, 1C/1D, B0: See the analysis data for details.

2, 14: Switch door abnormal.

Analysis: Find conditions: (1) OTL, CTL Simultaneous action in 0.5 seconds
(2) CLG/CLS-__ When closed (ON), OTL action
INFO: Floor number
Post-detection action: (1) Fully automatic endless: manual stop
(2) Fully automatic, manually stop
Counter measures: (1) OTL, CTL switch status and line check, Bar cam position check:
(2) IF66 board inspection

4, 13, 33, B2:

E/C INFO PHASE POS TIME

13 11 (00001011) 112 11 (00001011) At the same
(2IR exception) 2IR-3D (Crawling) 2IR-3D time
33 1 113 11 (00001011)

B2 1 113 11 (00001011)
(Layer sector misalignment (1st floor down) (crawling) 2IR-3D
Counter measures: (1) Adjust the gap between the sensor board and the sensor to 10+_3mm according to the
maintenance manual (preferably within the soil 2)
(2) Induction board verticality check
(3) 2IR-3D sensor line check

5, (DCL-33 door machine) 72: Door control device abnormality (DBD) detection
Analysis: E/C INFO PHASE POS TIME
72 30 4 15 11/15 7: 0: 59
72 30 4 15 11/15 7: 1: 8
72 30 4 15 11/15 7: 1: 17
5F 21 98 15 11/15 7: 1: 17
Isolated condition: (1) Door opening and closing action, check out the DBD signal OFF for 0.5 seconds
(2) The inverter trips (#ALARM-30B, OFF between 30C)
(3) IF78 detects motor overspeed
INFO: Floor number
Post-detection action: stop after 3 consecutive occurrences
Counter measures: (1) AC200 power supply voltage confirmation and confirm that the short – circuit plug
JC of the IF78 has been removed.
(2) Confirm that the value of F29 is 4
(3) F32 (output torque) increased by +30
(4) F44 (fault detection time) increased from 0.1 second to 0.15 second
(5) Increase strong wind countermeasures: F62 ------ 0 (invalid)  1 (valid)

6, (DCL-30) 72: DBD fault detection during door machine operation

Countermeasures: (1) Related mechanical inspection
(2) Check the setting of the “OV” overvoltage on the DR8 board:
Adjust the VR11 potentiometer to make the voltage value between CP3-
CP4: +0.97V (140V loop)
(3) Confirm that the door panel DR8 is good

7, 28: Speed deviation is too large

Analysis:
Detection conditions: software set “speed command” feedback with the encoder “actual speed” excessive
deviation
INFO: Car load at the time of occurrence:
After the check out action: Emergency stop; 20, 2F until the end
Countermeasures:
(1) Check if the encoder connection is good
(2) Check if the incoming connection status of the power supply is good
(3) More often in winter, at the same time, there are 20, 23, etc (there is no way to
start)
Adjustable 181A ---7040: Confirm the inverter output voltage value (CP28 Service
Manual, Nine)
(4) If it is a G11S inverter, the J2 plug of the PG card can be changed from the 15V
side to the 12V side.
(5) Check the inverter, IF61 board
(6) Check the motor, connect
(7) Check if the brake device can be opened, connect.
