Answer to the question number 1

The Google regard as the best company to work. The name of Google and its fame spread all over the
world and recruit best talents and engineers with offers a very good work environment but still some
talents are leave from the Google and depend on own interest. However, the employees who have work
for Google and those are working presently have an unending story to speak about the fabulous work.
The company many things that are really beyond my imagination. I think to work at Google one feels like
a king.

From my opinion of the work environment of the Google is very conducive and it is fin working with the
Google because the company has made all the arrangement to make employees works for long hours
and do not waste their time as they are very strict to achieve their strategic goal and also their job
specification employee of the Google are very clear about their task but they have no vertical expansion
task the decision makers are only managers. The freedom and flexibility of work that Google to its
talented recruits is very rare in the competitive world. Thus, the Google is the great place to work and
everyone aspires to be a part of Google.

Answer to the question number 2

Google is an international company. In this Google Company there are lots of employees. Google is
doing everything to motivate their employees. We know in maximum organization employees are
working only for money. These employees have gotten all that one can request in their professional
career yet at later stage in their vocation, they wish to understand their actual self and for this they left
the organization to work for their advantage and their business thoughts autonomously from Google
They put in their time and did not give effort. When people get motivated, they do works from their
heart, they give effort to achieve their organizational goal. Whatever Google is doing for their
employees, but it's not enough to retain talented employees. In this situation, Google have to follow
two theories, and they are Maslow’s Hierarchy of need Theory and Herzberg’s Motivation two factor
theory–Hygiene factor. To motivate Google employees, Maslow’s Hierarchy of need theory is so much
important. In this theory, states that human need – 1. Physiological 2. Safety 3. Social need 4. Esteem
5. Self-Actualization.

In Maslow’s theory first 2 needs is lower-level need and last 3 needs is upper-level need. These needs
are fulfilling in a sequence way.

Physical need: Without this need we can survival, so we want to survive we must have fulfilled this
need. Safety need: After fulfilling first needs us need safety need. Safety need is important for
protection from physical harm and emotional harm.

Social need: A person need for affection, belonging acceptance and friendship.

Esteem need: After fulfilling social need employees want esteem need. Esteem need is 2 typed external
and internal.

Self-actualization: This is a need that not everyone is capable to achieve. A person needs to become
what he or she is capable of becoming. Herzberg's Hygiene factor also can motivate Google employees.
In this factor that eliminate job dissatisfaction, but it did not motivate worker. So we can say that this
two motivation theories can motivate Google workers.

Answer to the question number 3

Motivation is the process by which a person’s efforts are energized direct and sustained toward
attaining a goal of an organization. Basically, it is the driving factor for action goal. However, the Google
biggest challenge in keeping employee motivated because a number of Google employee jump left the
company on the other hand, they start up their own job. So it is very challenging to keep motivated
them. From my perspective Google should follow the Herzberg’s two factor that’s related with
employee’s satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Satisfaction and dissatisfaction are interrelated with
motivation. When an employee is dissatisfaction about the job the manager should give him the hygiene
factor for no dissatisfaction. As the employee has no dissatisfaction that’s means he or she has no
satisfaction also. Then the managers should give them the motivator factor like sense of personal
achievement, recognition promotion. By these employees will be highly motivated, satisfaction and have
strong commitment. Then Google have to follow the Google also follow the designing motivated job

1. Job design- the way tasks are combined to from complete. Google have combined their task and try to
complete the task throw the group work.

2. Job scop- The number of different tasks required in a job and the frequency with which those tasks
are repeated. That’s means Google have to summarize the essential responsibilities, activities,
qualifications and skills for a role.
3. Job enlargement - the horizontal expansion of a job that occurs as a result of increasing job scope.
Also, Job enlargement involves combining various activities at the same level in the organization and
adding them to the existing job.

4. Job depth- Job depth is the amount of authority and responsibility associated with a job. Google
should Increasing levels of authority and responsibility give an employee more control over how
decisions are made and the manner in which work is performed.

5. Job enrichment- the vertical expansion of job is basically it is an additional planning that sometimes a
number of employees cross the level of hierarchy thus some decisions of organization are made by
those employee so, I think that it is the biggest challenge for the Google keeping motivated employee by
their job designing. On the other hand, it is easier process to achieve the goal.

Answer to the question number 4

If, I were managing a team of Google employees, I would have kept them motivated by tackling various
difficult challenges and working on difficult projects. In these activities they would be able to keep their
brain sharp and be intelligent at any time. I would motivate the employees to complete the work on
their own ideas. This would make them very valuable and responsible.

I would celebrate the small successes of the company with the employees. This will motivate them
towards the company. I would try to give everyone some nice tips to keep them positive and energetic. I
would talk every each of employees and would try to figure out where their problems were and tried to
solve them. These will give me ideas about company management and I will understand how to
motivate them. If, someone did something great for the company, I would give them some extra
opportunities to motivate them. This would be financially or might be promoted their rank. This is how I
would motivate them.
