narrative report

3. Supposedly we as a student taking up a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in

Filipino we are expected to observe in the classroom with different students and different

learning environment in this course field study 1. But because of this pandemic, we do it

online. It is quite hard to observe online but our professor Dr. Amado Pebres makes it

easy by providing materials that we need. Such as video clips observational templates

4. Before I go on I want to explain the meaning of Field Study 1

5. Field study 1 As the term suggests, field studies are learning experiences outside of the

classroom. Field studies allow students to gather their own primary data, provide

opportunities to extend classroom learning through direct observation and experience,

and allow for scientific research through field experiments.  

6. FIELD STUDY IS THE first experiential course, which will immerse a future teacher in

an actual classroom situation and learning environment where direct observation of

teaching-learning episodes that focus on the application of educational theories learned in

content and pedagogy courses will be made.

7. Observation on learner’s behavior, motivation, and teacher’s strategies of teaching,

classroom management, and assessment in learning among others shall be given

emphasis.

10. Episode 1: The School as a Learning Environment

11. This episode provides an opportunity for students to examine and reflect on a school

learning environment.

Teacher and student must be able to determine the characteristic of a school environment that

is safe secure and is supportive of learning.

12. The school physical environment must be conducive for learning is one that has

consistent practices that

 Keep the school safe, clean, orderly and free from distraction
  It maintains the facilities that provide challenging activities and address the

physical and social and psychological needs of the student

13. Episode 2: The Learners Characteristic and Needs.

14. This episode focused on differentiating the characteristic and needs of the learners from

different developmental levels.

 In this Episode Field study student provides an opportunity to observe learners of

different ages and grade levels. It highlights the differences in their characteristic and

needs.

15. Episode 3: CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND LEARNING -

16. This episode focused on determining a classroom management and learning process that grounds

the student learning.

This episode allows opportunities to future educators to examine how classroom are structure or

designed to allow everyone’s maximum participations and effective learning.

characteristic of the learner as a described by the family and other significant others.
