Discover the Advantage of
Digital Radiographic Imaging
Realize the benefits of a digital workflow with CANON’s CXDI-40EC and CXDI-40EG,
fixed type flat panel detectors. Versatile, large-area detectors that provides filmless,
cassetteless X-ray capture for a wide range of general radiographic needs. The high
resolution detector features an expansive dynamic range with versatile configuration
options, seamless integration into hospital networks, and considerably less wait time than
conventional systems, the CXDI-40EC and CXDI-40EG will increase productivity in your
radiology department and beyond.

For Diverse Application

The versatile CXDI-40EC and CXDI-40EG can be integrated with any Shimadzu upright stand, x-ray table, x-ray
tube and high frequency generator, and can be used in combination with the CXDI portable range of FPD’s. This
configuration flexibility allows the user to build a FPD system suitable for any budget or particular clinical requirement.
Additionally the grid assembly can be easily removed for low dose and extremety imaging.

Large Imaging Area

Thanks to a large imaging area 17in. x 17in. (43cm x 43cm), the CXDI-40EC and CXDI-40EG let you capture desired
anatomical views for both large and small format X-rays in portrait or landscape orientation – without having to rotate
the detector unit. From examinations of the skull, spine, chest, abdomen, to the extremities, the generous size of the
detector accommodates a wide variety of exams.

Highly sensitive for

superb dose efficiency
The high-sensitivity CXDI-40EC features Canon’s
advanced LANMIT 8 (Large Area New-MIS Sensor
and TFT) detector technology, which enables
the capture of high-quality diagnostic images at
considerably lower X-ray doses than conventionally
required. The key component of this innovative
technology is the Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator
that makes up the topmost layer of the Amorphous
Silicon Flat Panel Detector. Composed of an array
of needle-like Cesium Iodide crystals that provide
optimal light-channeling properties, the scintillator
offers more effective X-ray absorption and higher
signal-to-noise performance. This makes the CXDI-
40EC more X-ray efficient and gentler on patients
Canon CXDI-40EC than conventional systems, and perfectly suited for
pediatric and orthopedic use.

a wide variety of DR. The generous size is suitable for
radiographic applications including skull, spine, chest,
abdomen, and extremity examinations.

Convenience of
Detachable Cable
The CXDI-55G/C and CXDI-60C offers the benefits
of true portability with a detachable sensor cable:
time-effective transport and simple installation.

Streamlined Workflow and
Immediate Results
Enhanced
Productivity
In a streamlined procedure that
eliminates film development, cassette
replacement, and other process
steps, CANON’s CXDI FPD System
delivers X-ray images more quickly
and efficiently than conventional
systems, with significantly less wait
time for patients and staff. Images
can be previewed in just seconds after
exposure, allowing the operator to
immediately confirm body positions and
other factors before sending the image
to a network destination. And if another
exposure is necessary, the detector’s
rapid refresh cycle ensures that the next
image can be captured without delay.

Seamless Network
Integration
Ethernet 10/100 Base T connectivity with DICOM
3.0 compatibility enables seamless data transfer
to any DICOM hard copy output device, PACS, or
HIS/RIS for efficient printing, archiving, and remote
viewing of images. The system complies with IHE
(Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) standards for
interoperability to ensure easy, effective integration
with your hospital network.
