there for 3 days. I learned about life there, where everything was and how to
10 apply and what you need to get accepted.
Wyoming Got the opportunity to go to Wyoming at the Teton Science Center for a week
learning about the environment and what kills it, invasive species and such in
every category, not just animals.
Do your grades in high school reflect your academic ability or potential? Explain.
I would say that my grades in high school do not reflect my academic ability. For a while in high school I was in a bad place with
myself where I just lost direction. A lot of motivation was lost and I just felt as if I even tried nothing would happen anyways, but I
was wrong. When putting effort into my work it somehow feels effortless. I get excited to do the work and I push myself past the
standards to try and achieve better when I know I can receive better.
Are there any particular circumstances, school experiences, or persons that influenced your preparation or motivation to attend
college/military (e.g., cultural/financial background, family, and teachers)? Explain.
It was never really an influence but seen more as an option that others in my family took and worked with it. Throughout my years
in high school I did grow a stronger fascination for the military and plan to carry out my dreams of being in the Navy.
Describe any obstacles you have faced in school/life and how you overcame them:
I had really bad depression towards the middle of high school. A lot was just happening at the time and a lot more kept popping
up and I just didn’t know how to balance on my feet. I’ve seen better days and I’ve seen horrible ones, but I just kept pushing for
myself. I had random sparks of motivation that helped start life towards a better me. My family shared their love and support and
my friends did too and that was a big kick in the behind to tell me just keep moving.
