Meeting Date: February 9th, 2021

Call to Order:

A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on February 9th, 2021. The meeting convened at 9:03am,
Professor LeCompte presiding and Mariliz M. Oliveras Febles, secretary. All students attended except:
Rafael López Rivera.

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes of the meeting held on February 4th, 2021 presented by Aryam Torres Torres and Génesis P.
Suriel Jaquez were approved after corrections.

Matters Discussed:

1. Professor LeCompte took attendance of the students present.

2. The professor presented the agenda for February 9th, 2021 and assigned a quiz from 9:15am to
9:30am. The students had 4 minutes to answer each question.
3. The professor then discussed chapter one of the book Pocket Guide to Technical Communication,
the topics discussed were:
a) Difference of academic, personal and technical writing
b) Writer of a technical document
c) Reader of a technical document
d) The nine steps to better writing
4. Professor LeCompte assigned for next class on February 11th, 2021 chapter two of the book Pocket
Guide to Technical Communication.

Adjournment:

The meeting adjourned at 10:26am.
