 Taylor’s Theorem
•  Taylor’s Theorem is perhaps the most
important mathematical tool in Numerical
Analysis.
•  The derivative of a function at some point can
be evaluated at it gives a way of
approximating the function by a polynomial
•  It was named after Brook Taylor of England
who discovered this polynomial
approximation in 1712
