TITLE: CHAPTER 2
On this Chapter, I have a lot of realizations because as a student
knowing the facts and value of curriculum are so worth to learned because its our privilege specially as educator in the near future. Technically, something I’ve learned on this chapter was crafting the curriculum in that way I understood better and I learned as a future educator the things I have never forgotten the topic that are needed to before highly competent educator specifically on learning the fundamentals of curriculum designing because it’s a bit interesting simply because this topic will help as to gain our perceptions regarding on the roles of our teacher as a curriculum designer. However, knowing the facts regarding on this topic will improve our learning, helps to make sure that learning goals are aligned and complement each other from one stage to the next then make sure that our learning are aligned and suit on the learning that we wanted as a student. Then I also learned the approaches to curriculum designing, curriculum mapping, develop training curriculum and developing competency standard development.
As a future pre service teacher, it’s important to understand this
chapter very well because it gives an idea of the true definition and

purpose of developing training curriculum for the sake of my future profession as a future pre service teacher and also to my future students. However, knowing facts regarding on this topic gave emphasis on those institutions who are provided a vocational course specially the TESDA for them to be able to develop the authentic training curriculum for their aspirating future trainers they provide module that covers knowledge, skills and attitude required to develop, modify/customize training curriculum. It includes establishing training requirements, identifying the learner, and developing, modifying, customizing and finalizing training curriculum. This self-paced course is one of the competencies in Trainers Methodology II. And it will also help me to become competent in the future because the curriculum mapping provides 7 core understanding, that will serve as a guide to develop and mold every student because the primary goal is to deepen and develop students understanding of the content, Evidence of student understanding is revealed when students apply knowledge in authentic context, Backwards design develops clear priorities and avoids ‘covering’ the material and activity-oriented teaching. Provide students with experiences from different paths, not a set of rigid lessons, Assessment is ongoing and embedded into daily practices. Thoughtful assessments are designed before instruction and Assessment are options that the teacher chooses, Evidence clearly states mastery comes through meaningful interactions not after! ALL students are guided in thinking in complex ways.
