Activity 1: Make sure students have enough space
to jump and hop
Behavioral Objectives
Motor 1. Students (a) will perform(b) a horizontal jump (landing on
both feet, bending hips, knees and ankles) (c) at least twice
during the monster hunting activity with visual and verbal
prompt from the instructor(d).
2. Students (a) will perform (b) the moon pose (arms above
head, held together, bending toward side) (c) for at least 30
seconds during Yoga with visual and verbal prompt from
instructor (d).
3. Students will correctly jump laterally (knees flexed, arms
extend upward, both feet land together) to the left and to
the right with verbal and visual prompts 2 out of 5 times
during Halloween Shuffle activity.
Cognitive 1. Students (a) will describe (b) at least two skills learned in
class (yoga poses, directional dance moves, or jumps and
hops)(d) during closure time with verbal prompt from
instructor(c).
Affective 1. Students (a) will choose (b) at least one move (can choose

Transition Time Now that students have gotten their Let's Put on
(1 min 30 sec) candy back, it's time to dance… so they our Dancing
will have a dance party Shoes
Activity #2: Intro: Students will focus on their directional
Halloween awareness in this activity. They will practice Cues
Shuffle moving left and right, forward and backward, - Knees bent
and on and off of an object (pillow/cushion). - arms up
Time: 8 minutes We will continue the halloween theme in this - feet together
activity with a halloween themed dance party.
Purpose: The students will follow my instructions as we Modifications
Teaching students do the “Halloween Shuffle” to the song Dance moves:

Activity: I will start off the activity by telling OR reach

each one with me, I will start the music to the right
(“Thriller”). With the music on, I will progress 5. OR step
them through the “Halloween Shuffle” two on the
times. The Halloween Shuffle will be: pillow OR
1. Jump forward two times, jump put hands
backward two times (OR step OR on pillow
reach) 6. OR step
2. Jump to the left two times, jump to the off pillow
right two times (OR step OR reach) OR take
3. Jump on the pillow, jump off the pillow, hands off
jump on the pillow, jump off the pillow pillow
(OR step OR reach)
The students will continue the dance until I
turn off the music. I will tell the students to
give themselves a round of applause for their
great dancing skills.
Assignments/instructions for
paraprofessionals/peer tutors:
I will ask any adults present to ensure that
the area is clear and there is plenty of space
for the students to move in all directions. I will
also ask that any adults present make sure
that the students are
jumping/stepping/reaching in the right
direction.
