Many people in today’s society enjoy watching movies or TV programs about crime. What makes
them so appealing to people? What is the impact of this on individuals and society?

In recent time, there are many platforms available to public to watch TV-shows. Especially crime
related shows. Mysterious and thrilling content of such shows attract people to watch such
programme and movies. These types of content have both positive and negative effect on people
and society.

Movies or TV-shows related to crime are easily available to people because of the technological
advancement and cheap internet availability. The main reason behind popularity of crime shows is
human nature of solving some mysteries and watching suspense. And secondly, such type of
programmes are very interesting and it make people addicted to them.

These shows may have a positive effect on people, because they can aware people about crime
which are happening around them and how they can protect them safe and stay safe in such
environment. On the other side, it has some negative influence on people and society. These type
of crime programmes and movies provide information about recent crimes to some evil mind
people. Furthermore, it also affect individual psychologically. Excessively watching such crime
shows and movies may impact person’s behaviour and thinking ability. They may started taking
everything with negative approach and become violent. Psychologist says that such violent and
criminal shows have a bad influence on children’s mind too.

To conclude, TV-shows and movies having crime content is gaining popularity because of its easy
availability and thrilling content. Although, it helps people by educating them about recent crime
and spreading awareness, it may also have bad effect on some mentally and may act as idea
provider to some evil minded people to commit crime.
