3 Composition (January): A Letter of Complaint

You have just returned from a trip to Japan. You flew there and back with “Getstar Airline”. You were not
happy about the trip and decide to write to the airline to complain about your flight. Read the brochure
below and the notes you made in brackets and then, using the information, write a letter of complaint to the
airline. You may add other relevant points of your own. Sign your letter Chris Wong.

FLY GETSTAR AIRLINE TO JAPAN


We offer:
• 4 flights a day (late boarding!)(delayed
• wide, comfortable seats
• friendly, well-trained staff (quite rude!)
• a good choice of food (no problems with special diets) (no vegetarian meals for me!)
• the latest in-flight entertainment (old movies that are often shown on TV!)

In your letter,
 describe your flight experience,
 explain why you are not happy with the flight, and
 tell the airline what follow-up actions you expect.
