Importance of Co-Curricular Activity

Good Afternoon to the Principal, Professors and Students out there. Today we as a whole
would definitely enjoy this talk as I am going to share with you the importance of indulging
yourself in a co-curricular activity.

INTRODUCTION

A Co-Curricular activity in short can also be known as a “hobby” , which is considered to be

a regular activity that is done for enjoyment, typically during one's leisure time. Hobbies
basically consists, the collection of any sort of themed items and objects, engaging in creative
and artistic pursuits like playing sports, pursuing other amusements or involving yourself in
some or the other co-curricular activity which refreshes your mind. One must keep in mind
and make sure that hobbies don’t need professionalism moreover its role is to relax your
mind, so any silly thing can be one’s hobby. Eg: Collection of sea shells can’t be termed silly
over collection of coins/stamps. As I told you each person has his own likes and dislikes.

STAMP COLLECTION

Stamp Collecting is the collection of postage stamps and related objects. It is related

to philately, which is the study of stamps and nowadays, probably it’s the most
popular among the category of hobbies.

MODERN COLLECTING

Few words about GPO, trading, post crossing and about my stamp album.

FOOD JOURNEY

Apart from the philately section in me, it’s time to explore the other half in me. That is I am a
born foodie. Probably from the age of 10-12 years I started exploring foods in Namma
Bengaluru, as and when I grew up I thought that instead of just exploring alone why not I
showcase some amazing food joints to the outside world which would help the people in
finding good eateries as well as it would build some good foundation for the hotel staff also.

FOOD INFLUENCER

Food blogging represents a complex interweaving of “foodie” or gourmet interest in cooking

with those of amazing photography. So basically I am an amateur chef, recipe developer,
F&B Critic on Zomato, Google, a food Vlogger on YouTube and am well known as
“foodie_brahamana” on Instagram. The passion towards food just took me along in this field
which I totally relished.

CONCLUSION

So I conclude my session by saying that to survive at an utmost level in this so called

“competitive world” one must pursue some or the other hobby to come out of some anxiety
issues or depression or to any problems it may be. According to me many would have some
or the other hobbies by this point of their life, but to the ones out there who are still in search,
my advice is kindly explore yourselves and get to know your field of interest apart from
education as soon as possible because I believe in saying “Better Late Than Never”. You may
get an extra smile on your face or a piece of satisfaction in doing few activities which you
might have not noticed even though you attain a score of 90% in your school or college etc.
So by thinking that, today’s talk would have helped some individual out there listening via
this platform, I Thank my Principal MR. Dr Ashwath MU & Navneeth Sir for giving me an
opportunity in addressing the importance of co-curricular activities in today’s world.

Thank You.
