1. Are these Republic Act properly implemented?

justify your answer

 Yes the Republic Act is implemented, but it is not strictly implemented.
Most of the time, government agencies only implement laws strictly at the
beginning then after a month or so, things start to loosen up. Sometimes it
still depends on who's trying to control these said agencies but still doesn't
change the fact that laws are only strictly implemented at the beginning.

2. Define the following :

a) leachate
 A leachate is any liquid that, in the course of passing through matter,
extracts soluble or suspended solids, or any other component of the
material through which it has passed.
Leachate is a widely used term in the environmental sciences where it has
the specific meaning of a liquid that has dissolved or entrained
environmentally harmful substances that may then enter the environment.
It is most commonly used in the context of land-filling of putrescible or
industrial waste.

b) solid waste
 The useless and unwanted products in the solid state derived from the
activities of and discarded by society. It is produced either by - product of
production processes or arise form the domestic or commercial sector
when objects or materials are discarded after use.
c) recyclables
 The process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects.
The recyclability of a material depends on its ability to reacquire the
properties it had in its virgin or original state. It is an alternative to
"conventional" waste disposal that can save material and help lower
greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling can prevent the waste of potentially
useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials,
thereby reducing: energy usage, air pollution (from incineration), and
water pollution (from landfilling).

3. From the pandemic we experienced, are the special waste such as the materials
being disposed in hospitals and even facemasks properly disposed. justify your
answer.
 Yes. Proper segregation of healthcare waste at source, storage, and
transportation are required not only to prevent negative health and
environmental impacts, but also to maintain resource efficiency and
material recovery. In addition, existing operational protocols for healthcare
waste management and MSW management should be continued for
COVID-19 waste, with specific precautionary measures, adjustments, and
arrangements applied to mitigate any potential risks of COVID-19 infection
in the waste management process.
