To configure the user name format to properly identify the user in the domain or workgroup:
1. Enter the user name in the [domain name\user name] format to properly identify the user to
allow the SMB connection.
2. Enter the user name in the [workgroup\user name] format to properly identify the user to allow
the SMB connection.

Note: Since the controller is normally not a member of the domain, the domain name must be
identified with the domain user name to allow the connection.
