This book is nonfiction, because of the information, which
means that this book only gives facts that can be proven
to be true and the authors do not give their opinion on
the topic that they are writing about.
Sometimes you will need to include background to enable reader(s) to place the book into a specific
context. For example, you might want to describe the general problem the book addresses or earlier work
the author or others have done.
This book’s main topic is Dinosaurs; however, in this book
it has many sub-topics.There are about 32 sub-topics in
this book. ALL OF THE SUB-TOPICS ALL COME TOGETHER TO STILL
TALK ABOUT THE MAIN TOPIC “DINOSAURS”. This book doesn’t
have any problems; therefore, it does not have a general

FICTION.

Mention the book's theme
The theme of the book is to teach you about the types
of dinosaurs, how they lived, the plants that they ate,
and the years they roamed the earth. Its better to learn
about the history OF the pass then just know about
humanS. WE NEED to learn about the animals and what
some people call monsters of the earth. TO MOST PEOPLE
DINOSAURS ARE BEASTs THAT LIVED HERE ONCE , BUT TO OTHERS
DINOSAURS ARE APART OF NATURE AND HAVE A BIG AFFECT TO THIS
EARTH.

Purpose:173 words

What is the author’s purpose? To relay information, to convince, to demand change, to shock? Who is
the intended audience?

The authors purpose is to inform the reader or readers

about how, and when the dinosaurs were on this Earth.
Also the authors purpose is to explain who discovered
the dinosaurs and to explain the differences between
the types of dinosaurs. for example, this book explains
that the T-Rex has short arms, but long legs because
they were meat eaters and they needed to be able to
catch their prey easier. The book also explained why the
Long-necked beast has a long neck and why their tail
was so very long, it is because they were plant eaters so;
therefore, they needed to be able to reach the leaves
on the trees, and their tails were so long because that is
how they deafened themselves.

Describe the book: Is it interesting, memorable, entertaining, instructive? Why?

This book is interesting because you learn things you

didn’t know about dinosaurs. You learn their landscape,
bone size, different types of dinosaurs, and more. this
book is also interesting because you learn that the
dinosaurs just out of no where, if they weren't dead right
now they would still be roaming the earth.
Respond to the author's opinions: What do you agree with? And why? What do you disagree with? And
why?
I agree with everything that the authors wrote, because
they gave facts and not their opinion. There is nothing in
this book that i disagree with.
Explore issues the book raises: What possibilities does the book suggest? Explain. What matters does
the book leave out? Explain.
The information that the information that the scientist
found out helps us understand about them even more
than ever before; however, they left out how they died,
because their death is still a mystery. they ALSO NEEDED
TO INCLUDE OTHER RESEARCHERS, MORE DINOSAURS, AND MORE
PICTURES OF DIFFERENT SKELETONS OF THE DINOSAURS. Relate your
argument to other books or authors: Support your argument for or against the author's opinions by
bringing in other authors you agree with.
I do not disagree nor do I agree, because the authors did
not put their opinion in the book, they only mentioned
the facts. It’s great they stated the facts, because it
informs the reader of the history of the living before our
time on earth.
Relate the book to larger issues: How did the book affect you? How have your opinions about the topic
changed? How is the book related to your own course or personal agenda.
This book affected me, by being more descriptive; it
made me like them even more than I ever did before. My
opinions about this topic did not change, because i have
always found dinosaurs fascinating. This book is related
to my personal agenda, because I sometimes (every
Saturday) go home and watch “The Land Before Time”.
Is this book useful?
This book is very useful to today’s students and adults
to learn about dinosaurs. It helps us know that dinosaurs
were beasts and some were harmless, but some where
dangerous and meat eaters. For the people that are in to
history, animals, and creatures it is very useful to them.
Even for the ones that just wanted to learn something
new. iT’S VERY USEFUL FOR WHEN YOU HAVE A PROJECT AND THE
YOUR TOPIC IS DINOSAURS. THIS BOOK HAS MANY FACTS THAT WILL
HELP YOU TO GET AN ‘’A’’.

This book gives a lot of information about dinosaurs

that many would not know. The main point of this
book is about dinosaurs. However there are a lot of
sub-topics, such as, the early discoveries on dinosaurs,
dinosaur landscape, the Long-necked beast which were
dinosaurs that had a small head and a very long neck
and an extremely long tail that they used to defend
themselves against predators. this book also explained
what the Three- horned faces were and why they had
three horns on their face, and that reason is so they
could run into trees and knock the leaves off so they
could eat them. . I would give this book a thumbs up and 4
½ stars.
