Process Key Roles & Functions:

o Worked with Distributed Computer Systems (DCS – control logix), Programmable

Logic Controls (PLC), Office Computer Operations – MAXIMO Work Orders,
TOWCS( HMI - Wonder-ware in-touch).
o Experienced in Commissioning, Start-up, Shut-down, Emergency shut down
system(ESD), Plant shut down system (PSD), Emergency and Safety procedures.
o Stabilization of Crude in Stabilizer Column, Crude oil heating, Removing the

Process Key Roles & Functions:

o Well Head : Well experienced in Well Testing, Well Completion, Start-up and
Shutdown Procedures, Inspection of Xmas tree and flow line check-up for leaks.
Flow line-flushing jobs. Isolation & hand-over Wells to well services for
maintenance, Acid Jobs, Wire line Operations, SSV & SSSV operations, Well Head
Panel Operations, flow-line Choke changing and collecting the samples.
o Chemical Injection System: Handled following Crude Oil injection &
Treatment Chemicals such as Demulsifier, corrosion inhibitor, and water
injection chemicals such as Biocide, Oxygen Scavenger, and Corrosion
inhibitors.
o Successfully carried out Pig launching & Retrieving operations on oil &
Gas flow line from well heads & oil and gas export lines. Fully involved in
Bactericide & Corrosion inhibitor chemical dosing prior to, in between and
after launching the pig.
o Gas-Liquid Separation Unit: Well stream Heaters, Horizontal 3- Phase
Separators, High pressure (HP), Medium Pressure (MP) and Low pressure
(LP) Separators. Surge Vessels, Knock out drums.
o Gas Dehydration Unit (GDU): Glycol Purification, Natural gas dehydration,
Coalescesor Separator, Glycol contactor and Glycol recovery scrubber.
Glycol re-boiler, Glycol still, Heat exchangers, Hydrocarbon flash drum,
Cartridge and Charcoal filters, Stripping gas operation, Hot - Oil and its
heating system. Intermediate pressure separators, Low-pressure separators,
Condensate surge Vessel, Condensate coalescer.
o Oil Plant Operation: Also having experience to handle Chemical injection
pumps (Electrical and air drive), Metering of oil & pumping system of
shipping products, Chemical charging (Demulsifier, Corrosion Inhibitor,
Water Clarifiers etc).

3. Oil India Ltd., Jodhpur.

Position Held : Production Operator

Period : From June 2000 to May 2005
Working Area : Gas Dehydration Unit, Well Head.

There are 37 High Pressure Gas producers, producing 1 MMSCMD Gas which is given
to GAIL after dehydrating. Producing very little condensate which is transported by road
truck.
Nature of Work:

o Operations and trouble shooting of Vertical 2-Phase Separators, Horizontal 3-

Phase Separators, Test Separators.
o Operations of Glycol Dehydration Unit (GDU) : Coalescesor Separator, Glycol
contactor and Glycol recovery scrubber.
o Operations of Glycol Recovery Unit (GRU) : Glycol re-boiler, Glycol still, Heat
exchangers, Hydrocarbon flash drum, Cartridge and Charcoal filters, Stripping
gas operation.
o Maintaining the Dew Point, by adjusting operating parameters.
o Custody Transfer Metering (CTM).
o Well testing and Procedure, Well Closing and Opening, Well bean/choke/orifice
Changing Operation, Safe Shutdown Releasing through panel board and its all

4. Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL)

Working Area : LPG Recovery Unit

Commissioning Roles & Functions :

o Assisting the pre-commissioning activities.

o Reviewing P & ID from a process safety point of view.
o Purging N2 test, water, Air and Steam flushing, Passivation of each & every
equipment.
o Checking the equipment for proper clearing, Leakage and Tightness
checking.
o Trouble shooting during electrical failure, instrument air failure and
emergency shutdown etc.
o Report time-to-time abnormalities and take corrective measures according to
the instructions from control room.
o Ensuring safety of men and machine, doing fire fighting in time.

Shutdown Activities :

o Shutdown procedures through local panel operations.

o Safe shutdown, Isolate the equipment depressurizing and N2 purging.
