The CR MM3.0T Mammo Plates and Cassettes are
dedicated for mammography applications, and are
designed especially for use with Agfa HealthCare’s
CR 30-Xm digitizer. They offer the no-compromises,
superb image quality you need for mammography
imaging. The plates provide a higher sharpness and
lower noise that allow better viewing of details in
the breast, while the unique design of the cassettes
enables imaging right up to the patient’s chest wall.
The plates and cassettes are compatible with your
existing mammography X-ray unit and its Automatic
Exposure Control (AEC), so moving from conventional
mammography is easy and cost-efficient. Both plates and
cassettes have been designed to be durable, maximizing
their lifetime.

Superb image quality
The CR MM3.0T Mammo Plates have storage phosphors
offering excellent homogeneity and a short response
time. As one pixel is completely faded before the next
is stimulated, this results in a higher level of sharpness
at all spatial frequencies. The excellent evenness of the
phosphor layer contributes to a low noise level, while the
particle size distribution of the phosphor further provides
excellent sharpness and reduces screen structure noise.
The higher contrast-to-noise ratio improves your ability
to view structures in the breast, making this imaging
plate especially suitable for dedicated mammography
applications.
Unique design meets specific mammography
needs
The design of the cassettes also meets the unique needs of
mammography applications. The cassettes come in sizes
of 18 x 24 cm and 24 x 30 cm and enable imaging of tissue
right up to the chest wall.

Smoother workflow, from a cost-effective
solution
The CR MM3.0T Mammo Plates and Cassettes are
compatible with both existing mammography X-ray units
and with the AEC of the X-ray unit. So switching from
conventional mammography requires only a re-calibration
What’s more, the plates and cassettes can be ordered as
pre-initialized sets. They include embedded memory
that stores the data entered during identification, while
a built-in antenna card identifies the data by no-touch
radiofrequency tagging. So ID data and images are linked
from start to finish, throughout the electronic processing
system.
Durable in design and use
CR MM3.0T Mammo Plates are treated with an Agfa
HealthCare proprietary thermal cured top coat technology.
This hardens the top lacquer coat into a high density
polymer shield offering excellent protection for the
phosphor layer, and making the plates more resistant to
both mechanical wear and chemical cleaning solutions.
A new adhesion layer has been added between the
phosphor layer and the substrate, improving plate stability
and durability. Finally, as there is no forced bending by the
CR reader, the lifetime of the plates is extended.
