-Conditionals If clause Result clause
Present Real Conditional (Zero Conditional)
If clause: If + present simple Result clause: Present simple
If you eat a lot, you put on weight. (, coma).
You put on weight if you eat a lot. (no coma,)
If you heat water, it boils.

Future Real Conditional (First Conditional)


If clause: If + present simple Result clause: Future (will)
If I study hard, I will pass the final test.
If I go to the shop, I will get some bread.

Present/Future Unreal Conditional (Second Conditional


If I were you, I wouldn't go out with that person. (be) were in all the subjects
If clause: If + past simple Result clause: S+Would+VBF+C
If I won the lottery, I would buy a huge mansion.
If I had the money, I would travel around the world.

Past Unreal Conditional (Third Conditional)


If clause: If + past perfect Result clause: S+Would+have+VPP+C
If you had studied harder, you would have passed your exam.
If you hadn't lied to me before, I would have believed you.

-Parts of an essay (hooks)


Introduction: Is the first paragraph of an essay, it includes a thesis statement that
introduces the topic and states the main idea.
Body paragraph: It supports the thesis statement by giving examples, details,
reasons and facts to support the thesis statement.
Conclusion: The conclusion should restate the thesis statement and include the
writer’s final thoughts on the topic.
Hook: Is one or two sentences that are written in order to get the reader’s attention.

The chat will be on Friday 15th at 18h00.  Review the rubric to participate in this
activity and get the total score.  This activity will last one hour.

 The chat will last 60 minutes and the


only person who moderates the session
will be tutor.
 Connect at least 10 minutes before the
session.
 The tutor will give the welcome to this
activity and show the order for the
participation.
Strategies:  You have to answer only requested
  information from tutor.
 Read carefully the information
required by the tutor in order to
provide the correct information.
 Don´t use capital letters, it is
considering as lack of respect.
 If you enter late to the session, you
have to wait the instruction from your
tutor in order to participate.

Be careful with the misspelling and with the


grammar structures.
